It feels like there will never be a meta anymore.

as in: most effective tactic available.

Imagine picking random items and runes for a champion - that the champion has relevant scaling for, of course - and trying to be relevant. You won't. It is literally impossible right now unless you get the one or possibly two specific fantastic builds for that champion.

The same goes for laning. What matters more than stomping your lane opponent? Nothing; you can practically snowball the game on your own if you get enough of a lead early on. First blood tower further encourages this.

Jungling is all about making the enemy jungler irrelevant. If you do, it's even worse than a 4v5 as they don't have access to their own jungle and teams hardly ever win 'fair' 4v5's regardless.

Lategame is non-existent so just play around nuking everyone all game, no matter what champion you pick. If you're a marksman, then congratulations as you're a special snowflake that actually somewhat remains relevant regardless, although you will still ultimately just play around nuking everyone anyway.

So I ask: is there ever a meta if no other tactic is relevant? Is there a tier 1 if there is nothing between it and garbage tier?

Is the game optimized or is there no game left?
