No more autofill protection in promo series?

I Queue mid/top for ranked, and was just in a promo series and got autofilled as support, we won but I was surprised when i got promoted b/c i remembered last season that you did not get autofilled in promos.

I am a little surprised this was changed, especially with no word from riot as far as I have seen.

Yea, just happened to me while locking in adc/mid. Got jg and lost so I was surprised to see it counted as a loss.
