Is there a reason not to /mute all anymore?

This community has grown much, much worse this season. People (at least people in low elo) don't use chat for anything other than being toxic anymore. I can't even remember the last time someone said GG in earnest, because it often is instead just a toxic cesspit of people trolling each other. After resisting for so long because I did legitimately enjoy a bit of banter, I finally muted everyone in a game right as it started, and while I don't think it necessarily helps me to play better by way of mechanics or whatever, it certainly tilted me much less, which causes me not to give up based off of how I see my teammates acting.

In my case, why should I even bother leaving chat open? The social aspect of League completely kills my ability to play the game without tilting, so why shouldn't I just do without it?

It's unfair to the good players to /mute all. A good rule of thumb is the first person to talk the most is the person you want to mute. Someone starts talking a lot by saying "omg bs wtf was that" or "hey can you stop dying". That's the usual sign that you want to mute. But don't /mute all. Give people the benefit of the doubt because of anonymity before you start to mute.

There is literally no reason for you NOT to mute everyone in your team from the very beginning. Especially when you go into game with assassin mains or Yasuo mains.

What about the "?" pings when someone makes a mistake? I've seen people not say anything in games, but plenty of those tossed out.
