Nerfing Alistar Is Incompetent

A lot of people will fall prey to the logic that Alistar is OP since he's pretty much pick and ban in professional, and perhaps also considerably popular in ranked. But the reason why Alistar has become so important a pick isn't because he's overpowered, it's due to your attitude towards support in general.

The problem of supports having very little gold and xp is one that you haven't really addressed. Thus, at the highest level, the supports that garner the most importance are those who can still manage to impact the game with the smallest of budgets. Considering that an Alistar can tank like a solo laner withing a small time period and provide alright cc makes him the prime pick for support.

Have you ever wondered why you never see sona, lulu, or nami in competitive, it's not because Alistar is too powerful, its that he's more powerful on such a small gold and xp budget. But if you were to finally give supports the opportunity to realistically get equal or even more gold than other laners, then you would see much more diversity in the forever problematic support role.

Please for the love of this game, stop treating support champs like second class citizens.
