Where is darius counterplay?

So I'm playing Yorick and ik his early game is far better than mine so my plan is to last and look to help my team with objectives around the map. Simple. Welp, that is until I realized darius E's hitbox is so broken he can pull you from the center of under neath your tower WITHOUT triggering it's aggro... So now he is just spam doing that and taking about 1/4 of my HP each time even though I am avoid the edge of the Q. As yorick there is 0 counterplay to that.... I can either not farm (because it was literally impossible to cs w/o being in apprehend range with yorick) or just die by a thousand pulls becuase once he pulls me I have no way to get away other than walk away with a 80% slow on me and wall him that has a 1 second delay...

Everytime they buff darius he turns into a shit show and gets nerfed 2 patches later, like leave him alone....the fact that I physically cannot last hit under tower from the center of my tower is fucking busted. Spamming e to farm gets me oom in about 20 seconds... Yorick is "supposed" to beat darius after he gets tri-force but I can't get tri-force with 0 farm and a level 3 tower diving darius.

Darius's pull does no damage so it wouldn't draw out aggro anyway.

He can't spam it, he has a 24 second CD and since you level Q first, it will stay like that for a while.

Clearly not.

Yorick has a decent match up actually, all about utilizing his tools properly.

To be honest, Darius have flaw but i sometime feel his E hitbox is bigger than what it really is.

Darius counterplay is playing a ranged champion, or Trundle.

He cannot pull you from under center of tower (where you'd farm melee minions - not caster minions) and hit you without pulling agro. He has no good way of dealing with your ghouls since aoe doesn't kill them. You land a good e and your mistwalkers will do more to him than any basic combo he can do to you. You dodge the outer part of his q, he deals no damage. You use your dark procession and let your mistwalkers rip him to shreds after he's pulled minion agro while using it to dodge his q and prevent him healing. Unless you are against someone far better than you or have an amazing enemy jungler camping you, you cannot lose to darius. At worst, you play defensive until you get items; if you are equal skill to darius, you just beat him down literally from starting item and level 3+.

So clearly:

  1. You are new or very unpracticed
  2. You don't know the matchup
  3. You don't know what darius is capable of - a single q doesn't do 1/4 your hp and dodging his q gives you a huge advantage
  4. You don't understand how tower agro works

Instead of complaining, practice. If you can't deal with darius, try banning him. Obviously there may be more than one champ that's hard to deal with, but you pick the most difficult one to deal with and get rid of it. If it's not enough, try playing a different champ.

Honestly if you can't back out of his spin, walk close to him so you take the smaller amount of damage, at which point you can Q and wall him
