Cho no longer loses half his feast stack on death?
Are you making Cho an infinite stacking champion?

That honestly scares me tbh
I'm frightened myself. Cho is pretty terrifying when he gets big.

Pun intended?
Cho'Zilla. Coming soon to wall your lanes and cover hitboxes!
"He he he he HA HA HA HA"
I see you found the champion, "juggernaut and cho dash mechanic"
But thats a big nerf
i wont be able to leave base after recalling or walk through the jungle
[zombie-brand-facepalm]
It's okay, because by then you'll have a global presence, and be able to look down on the whole map. Your autoattacks will terrorize every jungle camp and enemy present on the rift.
But they will also be able to hit you from anywhere in the map... Will you heal because you're also touching the fountain? Wait, what if you are also touching the enemy's fountain?
I think... they simply forgot to add how he looses stacks now, maybe it's only one or maybe it's 2 per death... him being at 6 stacks constantly is... crazy O.o

His ult no longer refreshes cost and cool down on minions, doesn't give 2 stacks vs champs, gives diminishing results on more than six stacks, and stacks past 6 require a champ kill
It is intended, without cd reduction on minion kill he will be without his ult for a long portion of laning phase. So everyone can just hard engage him after he noms a minion and force him to back and lose the trade or stay and die.
Without CDR it will take 8 min (480 seconds) from level 6 for Cho'gath to get 6 stacks (if he uses ult immediately when it comes off cooldown meaning that he won't have it to use on champions or in fights)
Doesn't seem OP to me at all
An infinite stacking champ, with diminishing returns.
it has diminishing returns so I'd imagine it eventually stops being significant
That won't stop Vandril.
Especially with sandbox mode.
At 11 and higher stack each stack gives 45 HP (only on champion kills) and it has 80 seconds cooldown (48 seconds with 40% CDR) so it stacking so high probably won't be a problem given the long cooldown and needing champion kills to stack it
(without CDR to even just get to 6 stacks it takes 8 min after getting to level 6 if ult is used on a minion the moment it comes off cooldown... before it only took 4 min because half cooldown when killing a minion/monster and giving 2 stacks on champion kills)
Not to mention, this is an exploratory change, as noted on S@20. Exploratory means they are experimenting.

Change for the sake of change. Riot 2016->2017
Chi needs buffs. This might be how they do it.

Not really, Cho has been in a rough spot. For a bruiser/tank like champion, he's got a pretty steep disadvantage if he's killed. Whatever comes of these experiments with his ult, it will be change for the sake of improvement that will tide him over until his inevitable VGU.
Welp time to go on pbe and torture bots with a 100 stack chogath
So they're screwing over cho jungle.
Nice one, Riot.
Just like you did with Maokai,Naut,Poppy, Sion,
jg
How does it screw him over?
minion/monster refresh helped him clear faster and still have it up for ganks and securing objectives. losing that is gonna suck
Build titanic and enjoy the new stacking.
That is a terrible idea.
Why exactly? If he is going to have his extra hp forever now a tankier cinderhulk titanic build would be monstrously good, especially since he might need the extra clear speed.
Well... because Cho'gath isn't particularly good at sticking to enemy champions to auto attack them?
might be better because it is 500 gold cheaper and it is useful even when not in melee range because of the CDR and also the attack speed work well with Cho'gath's E (and allowing him to possibly get more stacks because of the CDR)
Also to get more then 6 stacks he needs to kill an enemy champion with it... and if he is able to kill enemy champions that much with his ult... then he is probably snowballing so hard that he can build pretty much whatever and still probably win
Chogath's ult is an execution what do you mean if he is able to kill that much?
Cho'gath needs 8 min after level 6 to get 6 stacks (if he uses his ult as often as possible on minions) and then he can at most get another stack every 80 - 48 seconds if he is able to get a champion low enough to kill them with ult which isn't always easy (as he doesn't have any mobility and the only way he has of closing the gap is hitting his Q which the enemy might avoid and he needs to be in melee range to use ult)
Didn't you just disprove your own point (or at least give a very good reason to avoid
)? The burst from titanic would probably be better vs champions since he can't stick to them particularly well. The attack speed helps clearing more, but the hp from titanic also stacks on cinderhulk.
You could probably argue both, but it isn't worth it until we know if its even coming to live.
More Q's = more sticking power And more R = more often burst
And the attack speed + E should be plenty and enough to clear with
+
only gives 300 hp less than
(and you still have 100 gold left... though given the extra HP Cho gets from his ult stacks getting resistances might be more effective then getting HP)
Already tried that before.
It seems good in concept, but it's gold-hungry and too slow. You end up losing too much before you can be relevant. WHen your dmg is relevant, you're too squishy to do anything.
Cho was already bad before in teamfights, building this makes him useless.
Cho in teamfights is important because he can either tank/peel or do burst dmg. Aka, Tank/AP builds. His AP build doesn't have any good CDR option, making it a lot more unattractive(for the purpose of jg cho). Tank will get a lot more cdr easily, so that's probably the path he should go; a peeling tank.
Yeah, I didn't see that part of the notes when I wrote that. Saw it after.
And it helped with Drags/Barons/Heralds.
ESPECIALLY helpful for counterjgling.
You mentioned so many strong champions I can't take this post seriously....
Reading comprehension.
Just like you did with Maokai,Naut,Poppy, Sion, J4, Trundle jg
Those champs no longer are played in the jg. Best state for any of those listed champs in jg is J4.
Is this actually happening? If so could I get a source on it, I'd like to read it myself? :3
Edit: Portable terrain Cho here I come :D
Thanks! [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
Tbh, Cho is such a shitty champion because he's so easy to outplayed
You probably could remove him losing stacks upon death and it wouldn't matter much.
From early experimenting from people I believe that around 12 stacks the size/HP boost is too minuscule to tell.
Ït also helps cho'gath when being behind.... As it is now Cho'gath ends up being easier and easier to kill as he falls behind (ending up behind in gold and exp... and he also loses hp from losing stacks)
And what about the flip side when he is ahead?
Then he gets more rewarded for being ahead as well (overall).
i dont know but does this mean his size scales infinite like zac?
No, somewhere around 15-30 stacks his size won't change anymore. ...I didn't paid too much attention as to when he stopped growing.
