I just got reported for "unsportmanship behaviour"

Tell me this report system is not a joke. I reported so many people for inting and trash talking, but not once was there any effect.

Now I got reported by my bot lane, who were premade, because of 1 fight we lost cuz i wasn't there. They called me "noob" the whole match and I didn't even respond to them, I kept on with my play.

And at the end of the match I got instant feedback report for "unsportmanship behaviour" because of those two.

Most towers taken, most CS by far, 1 vs 3 at one point, 1 vs 2 with Baron steal toward the end and I even got an honor from my top laner. I even stayed calm when I got my lane stolen after calling top 1st. I just went mid and didn't say a word...

How is this even possible?

Reported. But I never got a message like that before. And I have matches when I genuinely flame people.

Now I was more calm then ever in spite of the situation and I still got reported.

Yeah these messages ain't worth shit, just ignore it Riot sends them out sometimes but they don't mean anything.

Did you get a chat restrict? From what I've known they don't give out warnings anymore if you get reported.

I can't tell for sure cuz it's the 1st time in happened. The message was sth like: " You just got reported for unsportmanship behaviour and it checked through instant feedback report. You will get a punishment blah blah"

Something roughly like this. I just closed the window and nothing happened afterwards, so it baffles me a little bit.

The warning is automatic. When you reach x number of reports you get it, but the reports still have to be controlled by the system to be checked as valid or not. I've never got any kind of punishment (I've never done anything to deserve them) and got the warnings. I play since season 5, even if I 'm chill you are just going to be reported sometimes, riot warns you about that. If you've done nothing nothing bad happens

Riots automated system works by volume. A single report per game over 20 games has a lot less weight than 4+ reports on a SINGLE game.

The same thing happens in SMITE... One of my friends was actually stopped from going pro because a salty 4 man premade of toxic meta sheep reported them and SMITEs automated system gave them a ban.

Now that's just wrong. 1 report in a game has the exact same weight as 9 reports in a game. This is why asking for reports is considered bullying and can get you punished.

Its... Not though? Large volumes of single reports will get processed, but not as fast as mass reports from a single game.

The system is automated, not manned by a human being. Its done 'triage' since LYTE designed it.

And Tantram (who coded it) has said that it only needs 1 report before it scans a persons chat logs. As long as number of reports > 0 (in that game), scan the logs of that player.

Multiple reports contribute to manual reviews, but the chat system works without any sort of report weight.
