Darius Rework Failed to give him counterplay

Darius was an auto win against melee, he still is. The delay on his Q is useless since the range on his blade is so big. He just have to move one step behind if you're too close and you will take the full damage+passive+him getting heal. His attack speed nerf was supposed to give you time to not get 5 stacks, meanwhile he can dunk someone and apply the 5 stacks with one attack.

there is something you can do about that instead of doing pointless nerf on his mana cost and healing

the counterplay is kiting and peeling him while your ranged champs take him down. or you can rotate through tanking him. he isnt much of a threat whe he cant get 5 stacks on anyone.

meaning one guy goes in, and deals damage to him, the next guy peels him while the first guy gets out before he has 5 stacks, and so on and so forth. the stacks only last 3 seconds, so all you have to do is get out long enough untill they fall off. then go back in. it requires either teamwork to deal with him, or playing a champion who can easily kite him on his own.

dont forget, that his q doesnt build stacks and barely deals damage if youre in the inner circle. so you can actually fight him a while in close range, since he can only build stacks with his autos and w. and they massively nerfed his attack speed with the rework.

everyone in this game can itemize into slows if they dont have them in their kits.

Typical person who tries to outrun Q while slowed by 90%.

Dude, the inner ring exists for a reason -- if you think you can only dodge outwards, that's your own problem, not lack of counterplay.

The other melee I play top is Fiora, and I never had an issue with Darius (whereas I can kill enemy Fioras when playing as Darius). When I see him pull me, I wait for the auto+W, then simply wait for him to Q and Lunge into the inner ring, hit a VItal while taking no damage, then just run back out.

With Jax you can stun him when he pulls you, if you time it correctly. I won't mention Riven, I like her but I hate RIven mains. Lissandra can just poke him to death, and if she gets pulled in, she can root him and outtrade him before blinking out on her E.

The new Darius is powerful but slow. The new Veigar's E, which everyone says it "never stuns anyone" actually has only 0.5 seconds delay. It was considered "impossible" when the delay was 0.75 but everyone QQs about Darius' Q.

Get outside in time, else, get inside in time -- else, die.
