redniwediS1 votesThe situation you are mentioning has nothing to do with the Katarina and her ability to snowball, and everything to do with your bot lane improperly positioning and providing vision to the area around their lane when there is a roam heavy champion mid.

Again, counterpick, not counterplay. When a champion's sole counterplay is to shut them down early or risk losing (Nasus, Kat, etc), they're probably not well designed.

Cho'gath is a tier 1 champ in solo queue atm, it's not like its a counterpick; you can play him vs most lanes and win and then stomp late game
He just happens to completely dumpster kat in addition to being great in general
Abyssphere3 votesThere are a lot of things to complain about regarding Kat but I don't get your complaints. Kat shouldn't be able to poke anyone out of lane since they nerfed her health regeneration and she has horrendously weak waveclear, particularly early on. Where are you while she's pushing out and if you're in lane - who are you playing that actually has inferior waveclear to her?
Even with boots + 4 pots start she gets poked out before the majority of mages, and she gets pushed on too. She can often snowball despite that but there's no way she should be getting the advantage on you in lane.

when katarina exists in a game the rules change ... its basicaly whether you stop katarina or die trying even if you manage to stop her you dont feel succesfull at all ... you feel lucky or still fked becuase she will respawn
katarina is a champion who dwells on perfect synergy ... you dont have that you wont stop katarina unless luck and then look at what cant solo q compete
basicaly speaking katarina is bad design her only counterplay is playing like lcs pros ... solo q cant do that
Dr Poro2 votesIMO her W should be buffed and her Q nerfed. It's too easy to just poke down with Qs if your opponent is low ranged.
Make her Q scale 5 or 10 lower and her W scale 5 or 10 dmg higher per level invested in the skill.
Or... swap some of the first hit damage to the mark damage of her Q
