The real problem with Fizz is his passive

He ignores half the damage from minion aggro when he goes in to trade ROFL He can legit just jump into your minion wave for a trade and come out on top He can give 0 shits about proper positioning and that's the problem His passive doesn't change his decision making or affect his gameplay It's just "win trade no matter how fucking bad your positioning is"

Its really hard for me to take these "fizz op" threads seriously after playing against him before his nerfs. Not to say your point is invalid but I personally think fizz is in a pretty good spot right now especially in comparison to what he used to be.

I don't think Fizz will ever be in a good spot.

People complain about Ekko because he's a high utility assassin, but Fizz is just that and more oppressive. We'll never be in a happy place with these champions because of how they were designed to be.

The passive seems fine to me. In fact I can usually auto attack Fizz players out of lane pretty easily pre6 as Ahri and Orianna.

It's just the E that's annoying. It's crazy how much ground he can cover with it plus it does a ton of damage and makes him untargetable. It's like everything in his kit is on that one skill.

The real problem with fizz is his survivability in general. E specially when he takes cinderhulk top, he nearly never does while still dealing stupid amounts of damage.

The real problem is the stupidly low CD on his Playful Trickster.

Well they could make his passive champions only

I don't get why they don't make doran's shield do this. People would actually buy the item then.

Edit: but then again, fizz would probably buy it instead of flask or ring for maximum cheese.

The minion mitigation passive does do a lot to enable Fizz to be constant aggro mostly based on enemy positioning alone.

Still when I play Fizz I knowingly use my E to drop minion aggro mid trade or as I retreat. So you could say even without Fizz passive Fizz has a "tool" against minion aggro. Which suggests maybe his current passive is outdated.

Traditionally AP Fizz puts all points into E and relies on it for damage. This is because of the high damage upgrade in addition to the huge cooldown reduction and waveclear. The thing I go with 3 points in W at 5 because it is quiet strong for fighting as well, and enables me to use E for utility (like projectile dodge/escape/aggro reset) in early trades and be less mana dependent. When doing so E is still maxed @ level 10.

Minion aggro is not totally disregardable for Fizz though. I mean at least I have to E to reset like when I W + Q, auto, auto then E to safety (my bread and butter trade)
