Why are you surprised? He's been sitting at a 56% winrate in both Top and Jungle this entire patch.

I knew something like this could happen. I'm just saying that Riot's never nerfed Trundle before.

Thus the natural order has been disturbed.

Lux winrate is high too and she's played 4x as much as Trundle.

Nerfs when?

What about Vayne? She has a 50% winrate despite being the most popular champion in the game.

Lux is easily countered by various picks and has clear counterplay. She's also weak against tanks and juggernauts due to lack of anti-health capabilities.

Trundle also has clear counterplay, since he has no gap closer and is very reliant on his ultimate and good pillar placement to get things done. There's a reason he's not played very often despite his winrate. He's not a champion that you can pick into ANY team comp.

I also disagree about Lux being weak to tanks and Juggernauts. With the amount of utility she has, if she had anti-health capabilities she would be the best mage in the game bar none, kind of like Brand (who is going to inevitably be nerfed). I was being sarcastic in my original post, but if Lux was as easily countered as you say she wouldn't be a popular pick.

Regardless of sarcasm, Lux is also not super OP because she'd otherwise be used a bunch in tournaments. But she isn't, because she doesn't fit certain compositions as well as Orianna or Morgana, and gets outgunned by Ziggs or Xerath. Lux is a jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none.

They're all good champions though and are generally safe AP picks.

What do you think is OP about Trundle? Because even now, with his high winrate, I just don't see it. The best thing about him is his objective control and his utility, but a lot of the champions have that while being more mobile or ranged.

My guess? Grasp of the Undying makes him hard to kill. Also his ult's cooldown, honestly, is such that I can spam it so often that I never think about "is this a good time to use it?".

Lovelle1 votes

You generally want to use his ult on a tanky target, as using it on a squishy does next to nothing unless you're already in their face. The fact that you don't have to think about when to use it says more about the meta than it does Trundle.

Wat. Why?

Meh...it just some mana cost. and the ult cooldown not that big a deal with some CDR.

His winrate is pretty damn high. But I agree since his play rate is low there are higher priority nerf targets.

Lol look at the karthus nerfs. I haven't seen him in a game for literally months.
