When is Singed going to get some love?

Singed, while not in the worst spot compared to some champions, is definitely hurting for some at least small buffs. He was nerfed in early 2013 due to the surge of Proxy Farming, quite heavily I may add. Once Proxy farming died down due to both nerfs to Singed and the style in general, Singed never received any compensation buffs.

Fling Damage reduced to 80/125/170/215/260 from 100/150/200/250/300 Ability Power ratio reduced to 0.75 from 1.0

Singed's fling, while costing almost half of his mana pool at lvl 2 got both it's base damage and AD ratios nerfed. Singed is already a champion who struggles immensely early game, but this hurt him more than I expected.

Insanity Potion No longer reduces the duration of disables

During the time of this nerf, it honestly wasn't so bad. Now, however, when ranged laners run rampant in the top lane, there is no way for Singed to reach his target in most cases, without burning both ghost and his ultimate to engage. Now he's lucky to even reach the backline of a teamfight before getting CC'd to death, especially now that 21/9 Singed is the favored and most stat efficient route.

Also, a issue that plagues a certain lot of top lane tanks, no scaling MR per level is starting to become painfully obvious. Even tanks that have defensive steroids are getting it, but somehow some characters like Shen and Singed are being completely overlooked.

Please, give one of the many forgotten tanks of top lane a look.

The chances of this happening are probably zero because he was picked and used in one Worlds game. Yep, that means he's viable*!

*if the team composition is right, the stars are aligned and you're a Korean pro team.

I feel like we need lower mana costs, at least early, and that his ulti should have %buffing not flat.

A %? I feel like the Flat gains on his ult are pretty strong, unless willing to take a early game nerf for a later game buff, which would make Singed's scaling into late game even more scary.

fair point. It just that almost ever "buff" ulti is percentage based rather than flat.

At least early on his mana costs need to go down, because right now they are so restrictive that you can only really use your poison until you get to level 6+ without burning most of your mana in a heartbeat. I build him damage heavy, with seraphs >roa>iceborn>Liandry's>rylais>Mercs, and while his late game is truly terrifying, he is just way to mana hungry early to be viable against the manaless and/or ranged toplanes that are strong right now (Hooray for Singed kicking butt in that one game in Worlds though!) I also agree that he needs the disable reduction back for his Ult, because it really doesn't do too much for him if he is even touched by a CC stronger than a slow, the stats themselves are fine though. His fling needs either reduced mana cost, or the same damage it used to have, and his mega Adhesive just needs early mana costs lowered. and Riot, PLEASE GIVE HIM A VU ALREADY! even that one that you say isn't a VU would be better than how he is now.

Singed mana costs are the only thing that stops him from being stupid strong early game, even then all he needs is a tear and poof infinite mana.

I'm going to have to disagree with this, while with a bit more manageable mana pool his early game would be slightly stronger, he'd still suffer hard early game due to the current top lane champion pool completely dominating him early game. This coupled with the fact that tear is rarely built on him anymore in favor of a bigger early game power spike (double dorans into Rylai's)

That would defeat the purpose of building tear in the first place. If you want a better mana pool you aim for items like Athene's and Tear. If you want to focus on dominating the lane then you build for Rylai's first. Kind of the point of having build options; so a couple of items aren't just obvious "always choose this" items. Building strong early game power without having to worry about managing it is like having your cake and eating too. Makes sense to me at least.

He needs his Tenacity back. I'd also like them to change the Fling AP ratio from .75 to 1. Other than that, he's okay. He can wreck people, as shown by SSW against TSM.

Singed is just going through the same phase as rammus. Super powerful at one point, dominated every game, Riot takes the nerf bat, they sit in oblivion with hardly anyone playing them, riot ponders over and over again on how they can put the champion back into working shape without repeating what they had before, in time, (yes in time even if it is 3 years like it was for rammus) they buff them a small amount and then while no where as scary as before the champion suddenly has a 60% win rate in ranked.

The matter of the fact is some champion kits are inherently stronger then others and while we would all love for it to be a flat equality there can be no OP without the UP, for if there was no OP or UP then the spice of the game would be lacking, diversity would be small or non existant and this game wouldnt be as fun as it normally is. I would love to see singed come back into play but im thinking this is going to be rammus all over again

Whenever I play singed i find myself backing a lot pre 6/pre tear because of mana issues. It usually doesn't matter because I have lane shoved and I have the time to run back to lane after I buy.

I never find myself have to back much, but that's because after playing Singed so long I know I really can't get away with more than 1-2 flings in laning phase before being completely OOM. It's frustrating.

What can be buffed then that wouldn't make him too hard to deal with. Singed almost seems to fall into the "toxic" champion category as he is incredibly unfun to play against and you can't really do anything to him. His current playstyle really just seems to revolve around proxy farming and then eventually going in for fights after he has enough gold or denied you enough so you can't fight him. Also if you couldn't burst him down he just trots away and you can't even hope to chase after him as you'll kill yourself off of his poison. The nerfs they gave him were to help remove this problem, I just feel that the reason they haven't done anything about it is because there's no real simple solution. I'd rather them put out something they(RIOT) is happy/comfortable with and go from there then them randomly changing things and it ends up with everyone unhappy.

The current meta actually goes against proxy farming. With the prevalence of top lane ranged bullies, it makes it hard for Singed to even pull off proxy farming if he doesn't have an early advantage which is few and far between. The nerfs he previously received were the result of the proxy singed craze (which died off quickly), while proxying itself was nerfed. Proxy now is no longer the mindless strategy it once was.
