Why does Riot insist on making adjustments to things that don't need them?

It seems as though they just get an idea in their head, and just try and force it to work. Cass is a perfect example of this. I can think of very few people that actually enjoy her rework, but instead of admitting a mistake and reversing it, just keep raising the numbers until it works. She's not fun to play, nor is her kit healthy. At least Nasus has to farm his q, Cass will eventually become a monster simply from time.

Then you go to Vieger, who no one I can think of was complaining about. He's absurdly squishy, and no where near as high range as someone like Xerath, yet you're going to in essence, nerf him with his changes. Why play him other than for some novelty reason, when I can play someone else who's much more reliable with free escapes/dashes?

Look I love this game, but at times it seems as though they're trying to force a square peg into a circle hole, regardless at times what the community who actually plays the champions think. Which is what I think the main issue is, quite often, regardless of how many posts go out saying how I've played X champion for years, and I dislike these changes, they go through. There seems to be a disconnect from the players and developers at times, and I'm not really sure why.

But this is one man's opinion atm, they get stats and numbers that you can't see. They just try to balance numbers is all

The players are wrong constantly. The buzz about Ahri was that she was getting nerfed and Riot shouldn't get rid of the charge amp. No one, least of all the devs, should trust player opinion as a balance metric.

I happen to like the Cass rework. I suspect you'll find quite a few players who do. They're just quiet because content people aren't nearly as loud as unhappy ones. Statistically, New Cass has about the same win rate as Old Cass, but is picked four times as often. I am pretty unimpressed with Stashu's unclear and inconsistent communication, though.

Everyone had to know that Veigar E was thoroughly broken. Riot chose the solution of making sure he sucked for a long time, and that's always a frustrating design cop-out to me. I'm rather hopeful about the changes here; that Q skillshot will significantly enhance his farming and damage potential and the E nerf has the potential to make it not so frustrating that Veigar has to be a sucky champion.

Regarding the Veigar update, they didn't change his stun without reason. Same with his ult scaling. All they'd have to do to keep me happy at least is lower the delay time on Veigar's W, as it'll be pretty much impossible to hit now unless you rely on an ally's CC. Also note this is coming from someone who plays Veigar as their main Mage choice.
