where are people getting this idea that ashe sucks?

I just looked up the ADCs who are doing the worst (which is surprising since i believe ADCs are SUPER busted this season which is the reason i stopped playing mid lane and exclusively ADC. mostly with ashe) The results are honestly not surprising either.

Kalista i don't care about because that bitch should have never been created. They gave an ADC a free jump by auto attacking or using their Q shortly after nerfing lucian to the ground for being "too mobile"

Ezreal got fucked over once again because of some busted mastery called kleptomancy and now hes barely worth playing ONCE AGAIN because the actual problem with the game was not addressed

Lucian i love you homie, but with your auto attack range still being low you're going to continue being cheeks

Misfortune is a no mobility ADC with no heavy damage and a mediocre slow to fight with, of course shes going to get shit on this season

idk why people bitched and complained about jhin being too strong. Hes a pretty fair character TBH and actually has counterplay. doesn't help the fact the items he use to use got shat on a long with none of the runes really fitting him.

when it comes to ashe, she has good auto attack range, permanent CC AND she has a fat global ultimate that stuns and does aoe damage. Also with wards being limited in this season her E is REALLY helpful with giving vision which is also global.

where is this talk of ashe being bad coming from?

Others have said it, but MF's double tap is just hell to deal with. Even with no kills, if she has good farm it's still pretty nasty because the tap angle can be so awkward, and to avoid the worst damage you either have always have two minions between you and her (not always feasible), position yourself very far outside potential double tap range, or be close enough to eat the first shot (which obviously has its own problems).

Ashe's main issue is that she doesn't fit the current meta in any sense. She's a utility ADC in a game that favors heavy damage ADCs; she's defensive without having much personal defense. Her volley can be effective at keeping people from launching themselves at her, and her stun arrow can be a killer if hit at any sort of range, but champs with CC are favored in other roles, making her ult less required. And, even if you like having a ton of CC across the board, the arrow is generally less effective than most other CCs (others hit multiple targets, do more damage, or are non-ult abilities with much shorter cooldowns).

Basically, she does what she's designed to do and she does it fine, but what she's designed to do isn't a good fit for how the game tends to be played right now.

She takes too long to get decent even with the cheap ad items. Relies on teammates peeling more so than other viable adcs.

MF has no heavy damage? You clearly don't understand what you're saying because MF with the lethality/pen build does crazy damage. Dirk and crit Q off a minion to do about half of someone's HP after first recall bot lane, and her R is insanely powerful. Ezreal even when bad is still strong because he's skill dependent and until they stop him from going Tri Muramana he will always do enough damage if he lands his shots on the right people. Ashe has no mobility and with how many dashes are in the game can't kite out half the roster. Also her stun lasts less time the shorter ranged it is.

yet she has a CRAZY low winrate. that damage doesn't mean shit if its not winning games LOL

LeagueofGraphs puts MF at a 48% winrate and Ashe at a 49%, so either way both aren't good.

LS posted a tier list recently and in it he tanks many champions from S to B tier and explains anyone not on the list is either to radically different to be properly placed or just not worth it to be picked at all. LS placed Ashe as an A tier ADC in Bronze, B tier in Silver and Gold, and didn't even mention her past Gold. That means the number one coach in the world who gets paid to do nothing but basically study the game as an exact science, considers Ashe to just be barely within acceptable use in low elo and essentially a very bad pick in higher elo.

Then you made it out of gold using a barely worthwhile pick. After that if you keep climbing as her you're just putting yourself at a disadvantage so if you keep climbing good for you but it would be easier to just not pick her since she and Varus occupy the same space.

The issue with people hating Jhin is simply that no one like to get clicked for a quarter of their HP at lv 1 with the free crit+missing HP from his fourth shot.
