Playing as any melee against another is generally cancer vs higher cancer to begin with anyways. Skill shots that are "fair and full of counterplay" only apply that term vs ranged champions. If you're melee, there are extremely rare cases where skill shots have counterplay.

Your opponent can hold their skill shots until you're focus to enter a near undodgeable range and there's noting you can do about that.
