Legitimate question; Is Vayne supposed to be an Assassin or a Tank buster ADC?

As things currently stand Vayne's been the thorn in a lot of people's sides, be it Squishies being bursted by a Tumble-AA-Shiv or Tanks just getting melted by her %HP true damage.

This begs the question though; Is Vayne supposed to chose between either one of those? Is she a Tank-buster like Kog-maw or some kind of Assassin like Twitch?

Because the last "Good against everyone" champion was Fiora and we all remember how that turned out, right?

Vayne, unlike Fiora, is an ADC.

ADCs are allowed to be stupid in Riot's mind because they are supposed to "carry the game".

That is why Vayne will never get axed/reworked like Fiora.

Twitch isn't an assassin, he's a secondary assassin

Twitch primary role is to stand away and DPS the entire team with his ulti, and he's extremely effective at doing this However he can choose to sneak around with his Q and tries to kill a squishy, but nowhere it is sure that he will manage to do it. He doesn't have burst and the entire team can switch the focus to him if he's out of position

Vayne isn't like this, her primary role is markmen but she's a better assassin than assassins She gets to choose between killing the frontlane, or like twitch going stealth on the backline however she almost 100-0 you in a second killing assassins faster than assassins kill them and she can manage to escape due to a high self-peeling, this makes her able to 1v1 assassins which for the sake of balance shouldn't happen

since when twitch is an assassin? above diamond if he tries to do anything stupid he gets destroyed due to his lack of mobility and burst unless he's extremely fed and 4 lvl higher

If vayne has item 3087 item 3031 your health bar will drop for 60% in 0.01 second, she will continue to hit you and then 1 second later an other q arrives to kill you. then when she finishes more items she will suddenly kill you in 2 hits
