I almost never see him anymore, and was looking at picking up an ADC or two to learn with, as it's far and above my worst role. Went to check his winrate/pickrate and aside from Urgot, it looks like it's bottom of the barrel right now or pretty close to it. So I guess my question is, is he really that bad, and if so is it just the meta not working with him, or he actually needs help right now.

I think a big part of this is that unlike every other adc at his range or lower, he has no skills that help him trade in lane, if he wants to deal damage to someone then it has to be through auto attacks and stacking his passive for his e. It's the same problem the new Tristana has, they have no fire and forget ability they can use to punish poke and their range is really low (Yes Tristana has her passive but at early levels her range is average) so the only way for them to do damage is if they commit to a fight, which isn't always viable depending on their support or the enemy they're laning against.

i like the new tristana more then old, paired with zilean support, them bomb pokes are pretty troll
then again i never really tried ap trist so im not salty about the E change, although the changes look better for ap trist with bomb stacks adding dmg to jump for more burst. but i haven't tried it yet so i dont know, ap trist would be more like a suicide bomber now

I like the new Trist too, but she's currently in a bad spot in terms of being viable. From what I've played and seen, she just can't carry right now unless someone comes up with some new build that makes hers "op".

I'd say change the W entirely to something that supports his general Q R combo. If I'm not mistaken, you don't get bonus range on W when you ulti, so why not put the W slow on his ulti and make his W into something else?
Variks the Loyal1 votesThat would hurt his waveclear. Twitch uses Venom Cask+Contaminate on minion waves to clear them out quickly.
The reason Twitch is weak is because he has a crippling early game. Notice how, whenever the pros used him, he was almost always lane swapped? That's because Twitch is really bad in the 2v2 matchup. He lacks the range to bully or farm safely, and his stealth can't be used to escape anymore, which leaves him really immobile, not to mention his abilities sap his mana pretty quickly (Not as bad as most ADCs, but enough for it to make a difference).
However, if you can get through that early game and get to his two item breaking point (BortK and Youmuu's), he becomes the best teamfighting ADC in the game. Ever been in a jungle fight against a Twitch? Or in a Jarvan ult against a Twitch? His multi-target damage is insane.
Twitch is also good at killing Dragon and Baron. Against enemies that stay alive so long, his true damage poison really gets a lot of time to tick away. So, the reason Twitch is generally bad is his early game.
Or, you can circumvent that early game and take him into the jungle. My preference.

hes still my favorite though, just need some people to use my refer a friend so i can have all his skins.
Clarkolas1 votesIm in very low elo right now, but twitch seems to be one of the best adcs for teamfighting in the game. If they group up his ult just reks the entire enemy team
Veraska1 voteswhenever i play ADC i play twitch, i think a big part of his win rate situation is that his reactive play is pretty weak, the changes to his stealth makes it almost impossible to use it as an escape, and with no mobility he's kinda like kog'maw, that doesn't mean he's bad just harder to play since his power comes in burts (his ult plus breaking stealth for huge steroids) especially if you go the youmouu's route.
twitch is really strong imo, but only in certain circumstances. he's my favorite adc but i understand that balancing him is a high wire act. his gameplay makes his laning style naturally a bully lane so he needs low numbers to keep him in check and preserve his identity as a late game teamfight destroyer
Gunpoint1 votesKalista's rend is infinitley better than Twitch's E, and applies slow, Twitch's invisibility nerf hit him hard so he has really no self peel, and finally his W is almost a completely useless ability that is just a waste of time considering the time you cast it you could have just gotten off an AA.
IceKingChernobog1 votesbad? not really but the nerfs to him did a heavy toll on him his Q that was a very lack luster escape is now upped to 6 seconds if he takes damage instead of 3, they really killed his passive since the damage now scales 1/2/3/4/5/6 from 2/4/6/8 which severely cripples his early game trading. Not like he can trade with any one early game and he's very hard to snowball too, the only thing that he has for him is his ult that can shred teams in 3 seconds flat. If you're looking for an adc to play i don't recommend twitch, graves and jinx are very good ATM
