Singed Passive Suggestion

Illâoi Evê Siôn··19 votes·1,293 views

Under Pressure Upon taking 400 -- 1800 damage withing 5 seconds (based on level) Singed's canister explodes into a poison cloud around himself, blinding enemies hit for 1 second. The cloud acts like Poison Trail and increases in size based on Singed's current Mana (120 second cooldown).

Additionally, he would get a small Health and Health Growth buff to make up for the loss of Tankiness. The "blind" is actually nearsight. So what Quinn and Graves have, not what Teemo has.

Edit: And the cloud could range from everything from a small cloud with low Mana to a Doom Bot Blitz Ult if he builds 6 Seraph's Embraces. The sound effects would then match the size.

nice idea, i still prefer the reduced damage from his front you know ,using his massive shield in game play (and no not his fling because you dont need a big ass shield to flip someone)

Only if, while his passive was on cooldown, Singed becomes unable to leave a poison trail until his canister is repaired.

Maybe he could silence himself for 1 second? I'd imagined it like the lid popping off, not the canister being broken.

I'd really think it would be cool if since "when this passive occurs his canister will begin to leek a lot more of resulting in a huge trail of poison (resulting in the poison trail being double in size and maybe stay on the ground for a little longer but will go on a higher cooldown due to the need of repairment of the canister)"

That wouldn't give him much better of a chance in lane (where he already struggles), and would hurt his survivability later a bit in exchange for that situational boost in all-ins. It's def a cool idea, but I feel like he'd need to be able to hold onto it somehow until it's needed or else he just gains a massive weakness vs poke (which he already struggles with until he gets tanky enough to go full ham). It's a cool idea, but I feel like he'd need a few more tweaks and maybe even a mini-rework to support it.

singed doesn't really struggle in lane like that. He's a strategic and psychological champ. How good is your psych game brah!?

Singed's psych game is too much effort for my tastes. If I go for that sort of thing I usually go Urgod top and just tilt people. Singed's lane struggle is if he actually attempts to lane like most champs, farming and trading with the opponent. He has some good match-ups, but he really isn't the best at traditional laning vs most top laners until he gets some gold. Most of his strat and psych game come into play a bit later on once he has his ult and a bit of gold to spend on tankiness and annoyability. If he lost some of his inherent tankiness for a situational immovable AOE cc and/or poison that he couldn't control that well it would make his bad match-ups (ranged champs in general) a lot worse early (although I'll admit that the fully stacked Rod with a Seraph's thing sounds like it'd be pretty great with a Rylais and full AP).

I've seen the most successful ones proxy through towers and bring the enemy team to chase him while he successfully suicides every time his spells were up. Causing the enemy team to constantly be distracted and on guard for him while the rest of the team eased up. Eventually the salt led to even bot recalling and trying to kill singed.

I kinda enjoy Singeds "simple and clear" passive. You build MANA, you get some bonus HP.

I'd like to see it as a "bonus" for his passive. Just wondering if such thing would cause Singeds winrate to become skyrocket.

I would really like if Singed got bonus resistances that scale with mana. Even if its really shitty scaling. (Hell, even if its a Slow resistance that scales with mana.)

Like for 1000 mana you'd get a 10% less slow.

How about they rework him or make a new champion more focused on the mixing part of chemistry. Leblanc and Karma both have interacting abilities. For Karma, she empowers her abilities by pressing R+Basic Ability. LB mimics ability with R+basic ability/R. Singed could have something like that, with his ultimate being "Mix"; He can have a bunch of abilities, or combine the basic, unique parts of those abilities to create a temporary hybrid ability.

If you were to look at current Singed, him pressing "Mix" with Q and W would allow him to temporarily release a trail that would slow enemy champions and minions behind him (by a lesser amount than his W, and dealing 0 or very little dot). It would be used to discourage tracers, or prevent minions from dmging Singed too much while the final duration of his poison finishes off the slowed minions. The slowing path would have inidicators like how Braum's R does.

All Singed needs is Tenacity put back in his ult. Especially given how the boots and mastery got nerfed. And the elixir of Iron doesn't come in till laaaaaategame.

that's great but... singed is already really good

I like this idea a lot, and I think it would make perfect sense for Singed to have a nearsight effect somewhere in his kit, since he's supposed to be all about polluting the battlefield with poison gas.

While Singed is doing well right now, I think he could use some adjustments to his kit to address some of the issues that remain. I think he could easily have Poison Trail as his innate with some adjustments, for instance, since he inevitably leaves it always on, and negates its cost with mana, and instead his Q could be some shield ability that would also let him shoot some poison forward, as he currently has no real means of interacting with his lane opponent. Instead of the massive stat cocktail that is his current ult, he could instead have another steroid that would instead let his poison block vision across it and nearsight enemies poisoned by it, as you suggested, which would let him contribute meaningfully to fights by constantly applying a large debuff.
