Can Shaco get some love in the Assassin's Update?

Nothing big, but one two Ok, a few small things?

1- His Boxes do not proc spell effects. A can kinda understand why they don't proc Thunderlords (looking at you Zyra), but things like item 3092 gold passive, item 3285 and stuff like that could be used, allowing both for AP and Support Shaco to be somewhat viable.

2- Closely related to the previous item: When his box kills a turret, Shaco doesn't get the kill, the minions do. Not 100% certain on this one, but after many tests I'm pretty damn sure that the box does not give the turret kill to Shaco. It's more annoying than a problem (hell, I'm slip pushing I want to be able to see that bigass bar with 6 turrets destroyed in the after game graphics), but really needs a fix.

3 & 4- Can using your ult remove the "Target" ping and have your clone display items under any situation? I believe that right now Shaco and LB are the only two champions in the game that have part of their kits countered due to HUD elements. There already are elements for knowing which one is the real Shaco in game (damage dealt and taken, Sheen effects, etc), taking away some of the out of the game elements would probably make things a bit more fair for the clown.

Why would Riot even bother making support Shaco even remotely viable? It's annoying and frustrating to play against and not a playstyle Riot supports.

Not downright making it viable, but bringing his mechanics up to par with possibly making it a not THAT stupid choice. What is the core difference between Shaco's Boxes and Zyra's Plants what justify one to be able to apply spell effects and the other not?

There's a ton of things that needs to be done in this game; support Shaco will never happen simply because that's not his intended role. Nothing's stopping you from playing him in that role, but that's as far as it'll go.

The reason they don't proc spell effects it precisely to prevent him from being abused in the way you're suggesting. The boxes already deal a ton of damage. Zyra's entire kit is built around her plants, that's her design. Shaco wasn't made to go AP and rely on boxes to deal stupid damage with no effort.

Shaco wasn't made to go AP? Why does he have 3 ap scalings and a 100% ap scaling on his E and R? Yeah, he was meant to be played both ways.

His boxes die in 1 hit (150 hp is NOTHING) starting from mid game( most of the time they can ONLY get 3 hits in(less if there's another enemy nearby to destroy it)), if he upgrades his boxes, then his E is useless (works the other way around too), so why should he not have this buff? Shaco uses up so much mana just by putting boxes (let alone poke), and his Q costs 90 mana (you can't level it up if you don't want to be useless in lane) and his ult 100 mana, you just can't spam your spells too much.

So tell me again, why shouldn't he have this buff? If there's an FREE item that can literally de-activate his boxes for 10 seconds just by pressing a button, while pink wards can still reveal them, then i want RIOT to give an advantage over all the disadvantages they give us.

And please, they deal damage ''without effort''? Have you even played AP Shaco once? This shit takes time to plan out minion movement, possible enemy encounters/movements (including currently empty areas) which makes you lose ALOT of time in which you could be CSing and actually gaining XP.

I've played AP Shaco for more than 300k mastery, i know how much skill it takes to master Shaco.

Yeah, i've given up hope a year ago on Riot fixing Shaco when they ignored me for months, not even fixing his most game breaking bugs.

Stupid damage? Yes. No effort? Hell fucking no!

To set up 3 boxes you need about 45 seconds. By this time, the first box will only have 15 seconds left. You then need to bait an enemy into it, without pulling minions or monsters into it. In lane, where AP Shaco has his biggest potential to be a pain in the ass, this means tanking minions and porpursefully taking minion aggro and damage to save them.

AP Shaco is possibly the champion that requires the most planning in the game, for rewards that do not come even close to the effort put into it.

Don't count on that.

For months i posted about his issues, bugs and so on, and no matter how upvoted i got, i got completly ignored by Riot.

Don't expect anything from Riot concerning Shaco, MUCH less if you're talking about AP Shaco. I'm talking from experience here.

Every Shaco main would be happy with ANY bug fix at all.

But it didn't happen, and it's probably not going to happen.

I'm not even being pessimistic here, it's just how Riot is.

Hey, the assassins update is uppon us. If there is one moment to have hopes to see Shaco get any sort of love is now.

Personally I'm just waiting until they release the new items so I see what I can abuse, but who knows? Maybe some old Rioter who has been locked in the basement is finally released from captivity and gives Shaco a look.

The only thing they've mentionned is that they're going to ''make changes to the whole stealth mechanic'' which, to be honest, can probably only mean bad news for Shaco. I don't see how changing stealth in any way could be any kind of buff.

Ap shaco was viable slightly earlier idk about now, but if boxes could apply effects, it'd really be an excuse to nerf shaco. The better idea is to fix the inconsistency of zyra and remove her plants applying on-hits.

A box not giving turret kills to shaco is probably a bug that needs fixing o.o

While hopefully riot does a bit more to fix up all clones in general.
