Veigar Changes Ideas

I've seen a ton of complaints about Veigar's new PBE changes. However, I haven't seen much ideas of how to improve the PBE Veigar in the non-PBE boards. As a player who only plays Veigar...(yeah I'm a nub :P), I decided to come up with some ideas to balance Veigar, for both the player and the enemy... not just the enemy.

Changes: Prefferably: I'd prefer just a slight straight up buff on mana cost and cd on Veigar's live kit, I think he has enough counterplay already. But that probably won't happen so: Q: I'd prefer to see Veigar's regular old Q, but with mana cost and cooldown reductions (especially early game) People seem to be split 50/50 with the skillshot Idea. Cooldown Reductions: to 6.5/5.5/5/4.5/4 Mana Cost to 55/60/65/75/80 ** With the skillshot:** If Veigar's Q stayed a skillshot(I'd prefer it not), it should have slightly increased damaged, and cooldown reduced from 7/6.5/6/5.5/5 to 6/5/4.5/3.5/2.3. The mana cost should be reduced from 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 to 50/55/65/70/75. Also, make the projectile MUCH faster. (Still wouldn't prefer this.) W: Same as PBE changes, except first level is 65, not 70. Delay now only 1 second ** E:** Cooldown should be reduced from 20/19/18/17/16 to 18/17/16.5/15.5/14.5 Mana cost the same. E places 3 of the "spikes" of Event Horizon immediately, if a spike touches a champion/creep, they are stunned after .2 seconds. The Horizon shifts counterclockwise, the purple particles shifting(particles bring the stun with them), (with an awesome animation of course.) when the particles reach a place where a "spike" should be, it materializes. The entire "shifting stage" ends in about .3-.5 seconds(Not sure about the delay, just less than .75 xD, .3-.5 might be too quick) After this, the Event Horizon looks like the Live Event Horizon, and does the same effects as the live one. (Purple particle and spike stun is the 1.5 stun, so they don't get stunned again. When a champion/minion is near the Horizon, they recieve unique slow effects, depending on how far away they are from the Horizon. In a range of about 100 (Don't know how big of a space that is, just a small space around the Horizon), players are attracted to the edges of the horizon for a max of 55/65/75/80/85 percent of their speed. The minimum being 20/30/35/40/45 percent of their speed. The closer you are, the more attraction. Spell "flashes" distances are reduced by 50/55/60/65/70 percent. Flash is reduced by 15/20/25/30/30 percent. These changes should make Event Horizon resemble an actual one better, and should make Veigar more fun to play, while still giving victims a chance. (Original 3 spikes are in a triangular shape.) R: The same, unless Q is no longer a skillshot(Hopefully this happens). Then make the ratio 120% again. Ending Statement and Explanation: I really feel Veigar already has plenty of counterplay, and is a well-balanced champion. (In need of some changes after DFG Removal Ofc) However, I do admit his E is a bit too strong. But then again... I AM a lvl 14 nub ;o I feel this is a good way to change Veigar, it's at least better than than the recent PBE update imo. Ofc, Riot probably is going to change the E after the feedback, and I feel this is a good way to do it... or just keep the old Veigar with some Mana and CDR.

Hope you guys like these ideas! Thanks for taking your time to read this! :)

If we have to keep a delay on Veigar's E, then it needs to disable any movement abilities (dashes, blinks, etc.) within the entire radius (like how Soraka's E silences everything within it), plus Veigar's W needs to have its AOE buffed or its delay decreased to make up for the fact that it's built to work with a stun, not a cage. There's too much room to dodge it inside the cage; 1.25 seconds makes it practically impossible to land against any enemy player that isn't deaf, blind, and unable to right click if his/her champion isn't stunned (or otherwise unable to move).

Yup, forgot all about those abilities... gonna go change it. The best change would just be a straight up small buff to veigar's live kit, but that probably won't happen D: Hoping the E I suggested could be a good medium

Veigar will never be good if he keeps his point and click abilities. Something's going to have to break. At least with the Q he's allowed to farm a lot more (with the new double hit mechanic) and has something he can do in lane against poke champions.
