Why doesn't windwall have a delay?

Current state has no counterplay, unless he makes a mistake. How is that healthy?

Do I see a skillshot coming? Press W.

Grats you've won, because 5 people can no longer deal damage.

Adding a delay would require Yasuo to use his brain, and rewards people for outplaying the wall.

There's currently no outplay other than the braindead moron not pressing it in time.

It also glides out of his body instead of spawning in front of him, so even if he does it late, it will still block any skillshot that hasn't hit him yet ROFL

or its not hard to bait the guy windwall as a mid/top main, i faced alot of yasuo mains , just trick them (i main teemo so xd in early level i just farm and i always walk to him to Q, he wont see it coming, then after that whenever iwalk to him and try to Q he will windwall it, so what i do at that point is i walk to him. auto attack , he think ill Q him and he will fall for it and windwall and after that i kill him) that easy

league is not about who use skill faster, its about who use his brain better ^^

There is literally no reason for a Yasuo to get 'tricked' or 'baited' into wasting windwall by using it BEFORE you cast an ability.

EVERY ability blocked by windwall is delayed. All he needs to do is to watch your animationa and it is guaranteed to succeed every time.

It seems you’ve never played yasuo, or at least have never played him against competent opponents.

Good yasuo’s don’t react to your abilities, they predict them.

You are spewing nonsense. There is no reason to play predictions with ability than is guaranteed to work when used reactively.

If Yasuo players are hell-bent on playing "prediction god" even when there is absolutely no benefit to use windwall like that, it only gets to confirm that Yasuo's biggest weakness is how cocky his playerbase is.

Of course, a Yasuo player needs certian awareness on what blockable abilities are on each champion, and which are the most worth blocking in what situation, but there is no reason to ever use windwall before you see the animation start.

I hate yasuo and windwall as much as the next guy, but he absolutely needs windwall as it is. if there was a delay and I knew it was coming, why would I use my skillshot?

And if there's a delay for him, there is absolutely no way for him to save himself.

The truly problematic power of his kit is his passive shield. totally unnecessary early game tankiness when I should be able to punish him most.

As Dont Stop said.

He will never use it prematurely. Every missile is telegraphed, so the power is always on his side.

It means that you will never be able to land your skills on him, you just have to waste them, wait a CD cycle and then hope he is still fighting.

But why would he use windwall if it won't protect him because of the delay?

Might as well drop the skill at that point

ALL abilities blocked by windwall are delayed, too. Vast majority of projectile skills has cast times with distinct animation, and every single one has travel time.

The skill would be perfectly usable with an ordinary, brief cast time (nobody says to delay it for 1.5 seconds, lol), it would only be more fair.
