Should I learn Shen?

I like mana less champions, and shen looks neato. But I hear he is in a really bad spot right now. Is it even worth picking him up? And to any Shen mains, what is life like as a shen main?

P.S. hear are some other champs I'm considering, Ekko Garen Nautilus Rengar Sion Yorick if you have experience maining them please tell me about it.

He's not as bad as people say, they just like to complain about things. You can make him work. Check out this bloke for gameplay and junk: https://www.youtube.com/user/linky317/videos

Only pick up shen if you want to work/help allies in other lanes. The whole point of shen is to leave lane via ult and go help others. Honestly his q mechanic is powerful but a pain to play around. Like OurLestrade said he is workable.

I prefer to jungle shen since when i ult i am not leaving an open lane for the enemy. Dodge mechanic works on jungle champs and allows me to pass first blu to a mid laner for early dominance.

Finally got my level 7 done on the champ.

I consider myself a good team player. I tend to do things like give kills to my adc/midlaner, offer my blues to players that are ahead and other things. I can jungle too. Would you recommend playing one of the other champs over shen? Also, as my main, I don't want to play someone with a lot of hard match ups.

its not about being a good team mate, its about leaving lane at the right moment. When you alt to an ally can make or break a game. You literally need to be watching other lanes as you play your lane.

Shen plays well in to tank cause of his % max health damage. Losses against Rivan, Fioria, Yas types as the game goes on. Once shen falls behind he will stay behind. Does not do to well laning against mages, but they are rarely in the top lane.

Shen is about playing smart; not being flashy.

You can take any champ to a high level if you master them and game.

The real question will be do you like Shen enough to main? I just main tanks/divers/juggernauts and can play almost all the champs in these classes.

He isn't the worst but i would say if you don't have a multi que for coordination other tanks can do his job better, If you want CC and tankyness Sion is a much better solo que option

Shen is not rly in a bad spot, its more complicated than that. Shen should not win lane. Riot want to keep him somewhat weeker than other champion because of his ultimate and they also nerfed his Q with the purpose of slowing down his splitpushing job. Whenever your ultimate is up, you should put pressure on the map.

he is pick and ban in all Lcs Region despite his weak state ... You see the problem? His ultimate is damn OP When it come to strategy and team plays!.
