I uhh...don't think top laners were ever meant to single-handedly win games.
Just sayin'.
It can happen anyway right now If one laner does poorly enough and the other is cheesy if we're being honest.

In lower elo plenty of top laners have the potential to solo carry games. Especially against teams without tons of %hp damage juggernauts have enough damage and sustainability to hard carry late game.
The only way to beat a late game juggernaut is to massively outplay them or to have a significantly better team.

I dunno, they used to do this all the time. It's just that the carry was because they were the total package. A good top laner with a good laning phase could carry a team because they could do damage, take damage, and split push all in a single champion. These days, there are a lot of cheese champions that can do it far more reliably than they should (Vayne, Pyke, Quinn, Akali...)
Yep. Im spamming Top Pyke because at this point, its not worth playing a meta top just to have a fed adc shove an IE 100% Crit auto up my ass and destroy everything of a lead I could have had. Most of my matches (not on this account for the most part) have had so many losses be because of botlane difference alone.
