When you read about a champions kit in store and end up being disappointed after getting them

Please Read-I'm talking about the time period when I was still new to the game. had no idea of the meta and barely knew what roles were

So I'm at the point where I have enough IP get any champion but I don't know what most champs do and at best had a vague idea from the champs I have seen. So the only thing I had going for me was reading the champion descriptions. After reading (Pre-juggernaut rework) Mordekaiser kit, I became really interested in him. A build in shield and a ultimate that gives me a champion minion sounded so broken and OP that it convinced me to get him. Then I played him was just devastated by how weak he actually was. I learned really quick that being slow, no escapes, no cc, health cost abilities, and lacking damage equals a real bad time. Dropped him after getting rekt too many times. Just looking back and wondering if anyone else was disappointed or surprised after getting a champion from the little knowledge they had beforehand?
