This is stupid. Who the fuck thought it was a good idea to buff Malzahar? Seriously??? People bitching about mages being too squishy.. fucking deal! They're mages. Mages are meant to be squishy.

This whole mage update is stupid as fuck. How about focusing on the role of support. Or better yet- fire the people who keep making changes which unbalances the game and make you change more shit. I've seen dozens of suggestions in boards. But Riot doesn't give a fuck- they're just going to do whatever they want, rally the fanboys, and pretend people are happy with whats being done.

ahem Taric. Everyone who played Taric before the rework agrees the rework ruined him. But once the new-age uninformed liberal YOLO fanboys come in with their LGBT Taric <3 Ezreal bullshit, Riot wants to humor them.

Riot should uninstall. Go back to the good ol' days. Before new jungle. Before they became another DotA.

While I think Malzahar is overtuned, I'm not necessarily sure that "mages are meant to be squishy". Riot focused on the support role on different occasions since Season 3, from the tuning of gold income for that role to new items and masteries to better fit support players and champions. The mage update has been a long time coming, with various changes to top lane (bless juggernaut and tank meta), jungle (rip Elder Lizard, old Dragon and Baron, hello smite camp buffs), and the recent Marksman Update.

I think this thread could've been constructive; however, you kind of derailed your own thread by ranting about Taric and Ezreal and whatsuch.

There's a trinity relationship.

Mage > Melee tank Melee tank > Burst attack Burst attacks > Mage

Mages are meant to be squishy. Champs like Akali and Ashe should always have a base advantage over champs like Malzahar and Veigar. Akali and Ashe should have a disadvantage against Alistar or Garen. Alistar or Garen should have a disadvantage against Malzahar or Veigar.

Items come into play, play style comes into play, but basic robot mechanics should keep to this relationship. There's always 'hybrid' champions, like Malzahar if you choose to do so. Even Akali is hybrid in the same sense. But how they build should reflect the balance. And kits shouldn't be made to compensate for the base disadvantage. It's nonsense. Learn the champ, learn the role.

These updates are ruining the game, and it's ironic we call them patches- because it's just a series of band-aids covering each other up. Where one patch has a hole, place another patch. And when we look at the initial wound, these patches really only exist for themselves at this point.

You're very very VERY wrong about Taric. While old Taric did have his bonuses, he was effectively a stun bot that made everyone live a little longer. He didn't have much presence in team fights, except for the occasional ult that miiiiiight kill someone. New Taric though - have you played him or played against him? He's got a massive stun that can ruin opponents in lane and in team fights - an AOE stun at that. Plus, his ult can utterly change a team fight. You can rush under turrets and take out priority targets so fast when you shrug off damage. I dunno what nostalgic S2 fan boys you talked to, but the general consensus is that new Taric is an absolute beast and can seriously turn team fights in your favor.

Well you could say Malz's early game is quite awesome as long as you go AD, but he actually falls off pretty harsh if you don't focus on jungle objectves, and you can actually render him absolutely useles by just smiting/killing his first voidling.

Malz lost 680 flat damage and 1.5 AP ratio at level 18 to get that OP passive.

If you thought malz was op. you must be in cardboard 5 elo xD granted he has a lot of damage, but his timing iseverything, and people don't know how to time his abilities in teamfights, or don't disrupt his ult.

why is this getting downvotes i can literally place my W at a jg camp and if the camp dies it aggros to a nearby enemy and chunks them for 80% of their health if you ACTUALLY want a replay i can provide it
