I got to Silver V FINALLY! but aside from celebration, what's the safety net for how many losses I can take before dropping back to bronze?

its impossible to drop down to bronze, in order to leave any division 5 your mmr needs to drop a whole tier below....

ie, you are in gold 5. you need bronze 1 mmr to fall into silver 1.

if you were platinum 5, you would need silver 1 mmr to fall into gold 1.

this is where silver 5 players are in luck...... there is no ranking below bronze 5. so you cant fall out of silver 5, thats why its the largest, most populace rank there is.

it took him like 10 losses in a row to drop though so you should be alright ( when i 1st hit s5 i had a couple of losses in a row too like 4 i think and i didn't demote)

Man i love the shit out of yorick and kled but with kled i always seem to get the shortside of the stick in terms of lane oppennets. Like recently went up against a kennen with that annoying little n hit build.

Kennen, Fiora and Darius all counter him from my experience

It depends on your mmr. If your mmr represents the mmr of a bronze player you can drop down pretty quickly, but if it's higher you MIGHT be able to lose a couple of more before demoting.

I just reached Silver V like 10 minutes ago

Okay so it shows my MMR is 1187

Your mmr might've been a lot higher than a typical bronze players mmr even tho you were in bronze. I'd say you'd be able to lose about 2 games before demoting on the third loss? Don't quote me on that.

It takes a hell of a lot of losses to demote a tier. Also, you have a 10 game protection after being promoted a tier. The only way you can demote is if you hit a severe and I mean really severe streak of bad luck and get shit teams like 15 times in a row and lose all those games.

Demotion happens when your MMR drops a full tier below. So if you're in Silver 5 but being matched with Bronze 4s and 5s, you're close to being demoted. Use this to gauge how much leeway you have with losses.
