Deathfire on AD champs?

Hi! Well this post is about http://i.imgur.com/JMBQmuk.png on AD champs and what can be done to make it more appealing to them; rather than just adding more AD ratios to it, which doesn't solve the main problem.

So far there are a few champs in wich I have seen Deathfire Touch being a successful mastery (on AD): Urgot Renekton Jhin and it says a lot about it on AD champs.

The reasons why you would love to pick Deathfire over Thunderlord are many;

  • If you are not able to proc Thunderlord by using one ability (like Morgana's W or MF's E) or you are not able to land a quick burst combo then it is not for you.

  • If you are not able to land a quick combo to use Thunderlord quickly.

  • If you want to poke from time to time.

  • If you want an extra ratio for your abilities.

Reasons why DFT isn't working on AD champs that could actually use it (I'm not counting Urgot on this one):

  • If you are an AD champ you will rarely use Magic Pen runes, this means that is 30% to 60% (and in some tanks 80%) less efficient in AD champs than in AP champs; this means your AD ratio on this mastery only means 40% to 20% of your bonus AD.

  • The mastery path of thunderlord has magic pen on it, if you are an AD champ you won't take the % magic pen mastery.

  • DFT feeds on your acquired stats (gold) while Thunderlord is barely effcient alone, you need a lot of lategame for DFT to be as efficient as Thunderlord is, and it feels kinda unfair.

  • Most AD champs relly on their auto attacks, Thunderlord can proc on almost anything, DFT only procs on damaging abilities.

  • There are few AD champs with single target abilities or with DPS abilities; Urgot Jhin fits this theme.

  • Some abilities that in any other case would proc Thundelord won't proc Deathfire Touch, yet they are abilities; Talon Q Bleed (DPS), Sivir W bounce, Ezreal Q, etc.

Ways to actually solve the issue without increasing it's AD ratio (and therefore making it stronger on those AD abusers which are already strong with it Urgot Jhin )

  • If the user has more AD than AP make it deal physical damage.
  • Cause DFT to proc upon auto attacks and auto attack based abilities for 2 seconds (half of the duration)
  • Instead of it dealing a "base damage" (which doesn't scale and is kinda useless), make DFT deal a minimum damage of 2 to 10 per DoT instance which scales per level (take in consideration this "minimum damage" doesn't take in consideration how much AP or AD you have, therefore it doesn't make DFT early game stronger on it's AP users, mainly because the early game damage of DFT on AP champs is 2 per DoT),

Tell me what you think.

Sorry true I forgot! yet he is an exception, consider he gets insane amounts of bonus AD and his abilities where "Redesigned" to proc it fully, so yes I know what you mean, but I would love to take it on other ADC's and ADC champs, it feels really arbitrary that Thunderlord is my only option.

I included Jhin on the list xD

I understand that it is interesting, and actually Jhin is super effective, almost the best imo on him with how often his spells are used. But im going to say HEEEELLLL NO, AD HAS a total of 3 options for keystones, fervor, thunderlords, and warlords, vs aps having 2... Ad doesn't need any more insentive to use this, thunderlords still is more efficient on ad than ap which still thematically baffles me... I don't think it needs a buff for ad, it is effective on a few and does a lot currently, just limiting it to ad spellcasters is a GOOD THING. I don't mean to come of as an ass but when 1 of the only 2 ap keystones, I don't want another one to be better on ad AGAIN

I mean there are a lot of AD casters that could benefit from a change to http://i.imgur.com/JMBQmuk.png, some can't take Fervor or Warlord because as an AD Caster it doesn't fit your kit AT ALL, this change is designed to not make it more "OP" on it's AD abusers. And Thunderlord is way more efficient on AP champs, they have magic pen in their runes and build, therefore it means they can squeeze more damage out of the base LVL ratios. .

#AD champs that could benefit from the change: Darius Ezreal Illaoi Jayce Khazix Nasus Pantheon Shyvana Sion Talon Sivir Graves Varus
