Could some forms of AD be bonus BASE AD, instead of bonus AD that scales with everything?

Sort of a boring thread but:

  • Marksman items could easily include this so that others might be an on-par first pick as Stormrazor so that marksmen that currently must take Stormrazor now have at least one other option. Ex: UNIQUE Passive: +30 base AD. (it could sort of mirror the 'Haste' unique passive that mage items give).

  • Assassin items could use some of this in place of straight bonus AD so that their burst isn't so ridiculous with just their abilities.

  • Runes could use base AD as a form of adaptive. Ex's: The FLEX adaptive shard is obviously overloaded; it could just give +6 base AD / 7~8 AP instead of what it does now. Legend: Bloodline sucks and could definitely use something extra like bonus base AD. A Lethality rune or two could use base AD as a bonus stat instead of their raw AD, like the sight runes that now suddenly have bonus damage tacked onto them. Slap some onto Celerity and it'll make it better for laning phase so it isn't pure garbage.

Lots of AP wouldn't be such a big deal as it helps mage abilities stand out, but If everyone has access to boatloads of bonus AD the game becomes extremely stat-checky and revolves around AD champs. Anyone who has played this game for 5+ seasons has seen this in action many times.

**TL;DR: ** Less bonus AD only means more champions have a shot at viability. Extra base AD makes more marksmen viable (not ALL marksmen better in general) as well as helps keep assassins and other burst-heavy ADs in check. Extra base AD good. +300 bonus AD bad. Rito should replace some forms of bonus AD with base AD for the sake of game balance and our sanity.

Kind of ruins the point of having the distinction between "base" and "bonus" AD, don't you think?

Sterak's used to give base AD, and what it does is completely break Trinity Force because Spellblade scales base AD.

That said, autos scale total AD, so you point that it would make Marksman better isn't true. It would be a nerf.

What if it was MORE total AD than the item had before?
Or what if the item didn't have any AD originaly but thanks to this passive now has some base AD for free?

Sterak's used to give base AD, and

Back when it was just a Juggernaut item.

what it does is completely break Trinity Force because Spellblade scales base AD.

So they should have changed trinity force
