item 3157 you dirty piece of crap words can't express how much I hate this item. The fact that it is the "rush this" item against every AD mid demonstrates how bad the champion design is currently.

oh im up against riots favorite ad mid. goody, time to hide under my tower till i can back at ~11 minutes and get this shit item that does NOTHING but delay my death a couple seconds. Meanwhile i'm damn near useless with no sustain and a tiny mana pool.

meanwhile that stupid AD mid sporting a "riot loves me!" t-shirt can do whatever they want. 1300g and they have item 3155 which is in their build path anyway, and if not, doesn't matter, with the state of AD items, they can still 100 - 0 me with any item.

The fact still remains, they buy 1 item that increases their ability damage, AND the auto attack damage. AP Mids do not.

or they can opt to get one of the other ~1000-1500 gold items that have unique passives.

what do I get? This shit! item 3191 which does jack crap for me.

yah, no, it really doesn't. The amount of damage reduction I get from this right out the gate is nothing. And it takes time to ramp this item up. Making it useless until you have the other half.

You want to equal the playing fields?

create 3 new items in the 1000 - 1500g range with AP and a comparable unique state, Mana regen, Armor, CDR, Spell pen, SOMETHING! ANYTHING!

The problem of Zed is not the winrate. Sure you can win games against Zed.. but laning against him is the definition of ANTIFUN. He does EVERYTHING he want - there no way to win the lane against a half brained Zed you cant snowball against him, you cant get fed against him!

His Design and Powercurve are an absolut joke. Laning against Zed is just praying your team does not screw up, because if they do.. well Game Over! Because he can controll the lane at will you cant even roam as good as usual, besides if he catches you in the Jgl... well RIP.

Sure if your Team did not screw up and you played save, he will most likely loose - did I mention the riddiculous power curve?

I do not give a flying fuck whether or not you find laning against Zed fun, nor should anyone else. Why the fuck would I care about how much fun my opponent is having while picking a champion?

Zed is safe? Boo fucking hoo, deal with it. Oh, and he's statistically less safe than literally every champion with a higher win rate than him mid with the exception of Talon.

There are AP mid laners who can kill Zed 1v1 in the jungle. Malzahar can do it. Cho'gath can do it. Annie can do it. Ahri can do it. Kayle can probably do it (not sure though). Ryze before his recent gutting could do it.

bitch please.

Use a web site with an actual database, select ranked solo, all data for this month (6.0+ versions) Diamond or higher (Same exact data riot uses for balance) search champions with the highest win rates.

you will see very different results. In fact the ONLY ap mid on that list, and with a win rate above the margin of error is a hybrid assassin with true damage. Ahri. And i'd bet my life that the ONLY reason she is there, is because she can ult away from zed's shadow to reduce the 'pop' damage on his ult. No other AP mid can do that. Above her you will see Zed, and Talon.

Zhonya's is arguably the best item in the game. Complaining about having to build it is like complaining that you have to buy wards (rip).

it provides nothing but AP that an AP mid would want...and the occational moment of disrepect when you kill someone, stand on their dead body and "go golden" Armor it provides is jack crap considering EVERY single ad champ in the game is going to have some kind of armor pen in their builds very early on.

other than that its a well fuck imma die....in 3,.....2.......1 item

Maybe for you it isn't. I'm over here not having changed my Xerath build since the released Luden's Echo, where I don't build Zhonya's until 4 item (not including boots).

The only times I've gotten it sooner (as a third item) is when the enemy ADC got fed, not an enemy AD assassin

Not rushing a Zhonya against Zed is like not bringing money on a date. Dangerous, stupid, and likely to lose you the only chance you had at scoring

Except I don't feed the Zed, and frequently beat him to a point where I am the scariest person on the map. That's what happens when you play safe, dodge his stuff, ward for ganks, and don't stick around when he could easily kill you

Tell you what, I will add you in game, and PAY you 1,000 USD if you can dodge a zed ult. You did say you dodge his stuff. Now dodge his ult.

Also lets see you buy anything when you "dont stick around" What is your counter play? roam the jungle? sit at nexus? visit top whenever he is in lane?

No, of course you can't dodge his ult, do you think I'm an idiot? You dodge his other stuff, the things you can. Then, when he appears from his ult, I stun him and get out, or if I'm in danger, I'll barrier and his damage potential falls through the floor.

Zed is not some kind of impossible to beat supper champion. If he's fed, then yeah, it can be pretty damn hard. But if you don't feed him, he's no more difficult to beat then any other champion.

no comment on the idiot part, as for dodging his other stuff, his Q travels at 1600, compare that to your base move speed of 325-335. Its width is enough that if he aims it right at you, you can not dodge it. Period. You do not move fast enough, without using an ability with your apparent god like reflexes and hella low MS ping.

When he appears from us ult its usually behind you, at such a close space that if you dont move you MIGHT be able to hit him with a stun/charm something, however that is normally not enough. by the time you hit your abilty, he has hit his, and slowed your move speed. once the stud wears off, hes going to land the rest of his combo.

You just have eat that combo and time fucking shit ass item 3157 to be golden when it pops. Oh but you dont build item 3157 Well with luck youre item 3027 or item 3165 will give you enough armor/hps/jesus love to survive even an UN fed zed single item (new item) ~2000 damage combo.

I agree. I prefer rushing RoA on my mid mages, but vs a zed or talon, i'm forced to rush zhonya's. dont confuse item 3157 with item 3191 . i dont get to rush a 1200 item 3191 then play it cool, i have to rush a 3500 item 3157 . but zed can rush a 1300 item 3155 or even item 3140 and make ap mids useless.
