10 minutes into normal draft wait.... really wishing Team Builder was still a thing,,,,

I used to play one or two games of league a day, I was never a big ranked player so that was enough. I loved team builder because I could play the champ and role I wanted, I simply queued up, waited for a game, then me and everyone else on my team got exactly what they wanted. It was great.

So when they replaced it with draft I stopped playing. I don't want to draft in normal's, and I sure as hell don't want to deal with the toxic cess-pool this is blind pick. But here I am, craving league for the first time and months, and one dodged game later I've been in queue for close to 12 minutes.... Is this really better? 12 minutes in team builder could happen if I was queuing for mid, but even if a game was closed it required no input from me, I was just re-matched. I could get into a game right now, get all the way down to last round of picks, and the game gets dodged further wasting my time.

Its extremely frustrating for a 1 or 2 game a day person and pretty might highlights why I STOPPED playing this season. Surely this doesn't have to be an all or nothing setup! Why can't we still have team builder. And if it must replace something surely team-builder can replace blind pick? No one likes blind pick, blind is where you go to raise your blood pressure.

My experience with team builder was completely different, though that's probably because I'm a support main.

But my current experiences with the new champ select is absolutely obnoxious as high hell. I like Soraka a lot but I'm not competitive, yet she keeps getting banned out.

I would gladly sit through a 30 minute queue for team builder if I got to play the champion I wanted, rather than having to sit through a 20~40 minute long game on a champion I DON'T want because the one I DID was banned out or picked before me; or just dodge (thus wasting 9 other peoples time) and then have to suffer a long waiting time penalty afterwards anyways.

Team builder wasn't perfect, however it had its own place; and it shouldn't have been shoved aside for a completely different draft mode that ultimately doesn't even do the same things team builder did. I didn't even touch draft for a few months, simply because I couldn't play the champions I want with this new mode that replaced it, simply because they were always picked or banned. And in reality, if I can't play champions I enjoy, therefore, I can't enjoy the game, then what is the point in even playing? Blind pick intimidates me as its toxic as always. After not having played it for ages I tried a few games of it and I quickly remembered why I hadn't played it at all for the past couple years.

Any change that makes a game less fun, frustrating, or no fun at all for a significant population of the player-base cannot be considered a successful change in my eyes.

But that's just my opinion, I am also mad about dynamic queue and I really miss old draft pick, because a big part of the fun at League to me was pressing Play, queuing up and chosing my role and champion depending on what my team mates desired in Champ Select. Though I think I am getting used to it, since I am kinda turning into a one trick champ/position person.
