It's not always about balance, sometimes the pick rate is too high

Honestly, let's all stop pretending that nerfs should only occur when a champion is strong. We have to agree that when a champion has a high pick rate, it needs to be nerfed

You want to promote diversity in pick rate, start by nerfing the champion to discourage a few people from playing him. When a champion is in 50% of all games, that destroys diversity. I don't care if he is a fun champion, or makes flashy plays, nerf him

This season has been worse than last years season. Riot has been really slow on trying to put a stop to this.

Yeah! It means champion is killer the diversity of the game.

If you find a champion fun, you will play him whether or not he lost 10 base damage on his Q. Lee sin got a nerf to his ultimate and he is still one of hr most played champions.

Cassiopeia got nerfed at one point that he pick rate remained the same.

Truth is, you will play a fun champion whether or not he has. 48% or 49-% winrate

So will nerfing them help diversity or not then?

so if you argue I'll play lee sin regardless if he's nerfed a little, and he's fairly balanced atm, then why nerf him?

Because most will still play him if he has 10 less base damage on his Q. However some won't pick him and this will make more diversity

The champion isn't balanced if he forces other champions out of play.

More so, he ruins the games health because diversity is gone

I think I see a Ahri, yas, or Lee in every game I play.

Come on now. You know it's not that simple.

If half of the whole player base is picking the same single champion in every match then it's not just because he is "fun".

Its funny because Rito won't buff or fix the under preforming champs but the over preforming ones are saying nope I'm balanced. Will no they aren't. If your balanced then how can someone be underperforming. Because in that since they ARE stronger than the under preforming champ.

people need to understand that if you say ur "balanced" and then point to the other META champs; you are not balance. You are in the top 20% that makes you stronger than the other 80%. You can't go by win rates only. Playrates tell a better picture. Because Win rates you might only be looking at long term mains compared to "hey I picked Lee because I'm in my jungle roll now" Anyone over a 15% play rate needs nerfs. This is just Math and stats.

People do not count Mobility and Safety with OPness. Sure your damage might be in line with others but once you add mobility/safety/and utility into it they become OP. And this is not Quantitative. Meaning the only way to rate these are with play rate.

Ahri Lee Greaves Lulu Yas

all fall in these area. I get so mad because you CAN'T give classes Mobilty, safety, and damage. It makes the game too hard to balance. The problem is that almost all the newer champs have these. Generalist need to preform BELOW others. What ever happened to Jack of all trades master of none. There has to be a Major weakness of a champ or they need to preform BELOW the others.

No, buff other champions to be fun too.

That sounds like an incredibly terrible idea that will only make the game even more imbalanced.

"Fun yet balanced? Let's nerf it for no reason other than a lot of people enjoy playing it."

That's what you just said. Screw diversity, who cares about diversity if every fun champion gets nerfed because they are fun to play for many.

They aren't balanced if they force other champions out. It is a simple truth. You can argue all you want on it, but that isn't balanced in some form. I guess we also need to define balanced.

except thresh had 50% pick rate back in 2015 and he got buffed because of how insanely weak he was and he fell off popularity alone without any nerfs and he had 46% win rate btw

I'm curious what junglers Lee Sin is pushing out of play. I can't really think of any.
