For those with Unique Playstyles, will you use the Specialist designation? It works for Blizzard.

Heroes of the Storm has characters like Abathur, Murky, Probius, etc., who all break the conventional gameplay rules and do their own thing, and it's a lot of fun. Singed, Azir, Teemo, Quinn, Heimerdinger, etc., are in a similar boat, so will you be giving them a Specialist classification?

Specialists in HotS may have unconventional gameplay, but their role/intention for the MOST part (one or 2 exceptions) is to push down lanes and apply very strong pressure to towers. So that doesnt really work for LoL.

Doesn't mean that Riot has to follow the same classification requirement. Specialist in LoL =/= Specialist in HotS. It's more meant to be a designation for heroes/champions who break the norm in terms of gameplay.

But Specialist is as much a classification in HotS as Vanguard or Diver is for League.

So calling all the uniques Specialists doesnt actually describe them at all, it just gives it a different name.

I mean, you say that but Singed and GP kinda do that.

Thats 2 out of 10-15 champions listed as Unique right now. Not a very helpful descriptor.

Fair point. I don't remember all the unique playstyle champions.

Why do people care so much about what they're called?

Because it's fun.

It's fun to argue about who a tank is and who isn't? "Well, technically he's a vanguard."

It makes my day at work less boring. Yes.
