full ap team, they all had zhonyas and magic pen.
good thing my mr itemization as riven was so good. managed to get 2 items but get melted by anyone of them because mr itemization is SHIT.

Game is about item window spikes.
If you don't use your windows of advantage, you have to deal with late game where AoE burst CC mages in team fights are dominant.
Most AD casters have huge item spikes, and earlier into the game than a mage. If you can't utilize these windows, you deserved the loss.
ap team is always better than ad team and yet ap kids still believe they have one of the worse itemization LOl
You can thank burst mages for that. MR kills Burst Mages too well since they have nothing to use once their combo is blown.
Riven's also kind of not-that-tanky, anyway.
