Xin's new Ult is a counterplayable old Poppy's Ult

I mean how cool is that? I love they bring back old reworked abilities and they add unique twists to them to have interesting forms of counterplay.

Lol. Nothing will ever be like old poppy ulti. That feeling of being ADC surounded by 4 teammates that all have CC and seeing little girl with lolipop and chocolate bar walking towards you and you know you are about to feel that lolipop deep inside you and noone can save you. Oh how i miss her :(

Old Poppy's ult was utterly broken, but I could see it being changed to a balanceable state. For example, changing damage immunity to 40/60/80% damage reduction and CC immunity to 50/75/100% tenacity, and maybe removing the damage amp.

If she was so broken then explain why lol. I played old poppy for years. She wasn't broken by any means. She was an assassin/bruiser not a tank. Building hp was the last thing she wanted, she liked hp regen. So she ults you, Unless you sit there and let her smang you'll be okay. Her mana was so low. You could only Q 3 x and you'd be out of mana.

of course she was broken, riot even said if she ever became popular they're destroy her with nerfs to the point of unplayability, and that's because if poppy ulted you, there is NOTHING your team can do to save you since she would then be immune to the damage and CC of others, played AP you ulted, ran in to kill the enemy ADC and there wasn't a damn thing they could have done, but sometimes it was worse, they got, say, a soraka? ult soraka and kill up to 2 enemies, and there is 0 counter play to that

If you allow a poppy to get that far ahead you deserve the loss. Ap poppy falled off late game, And her ult range was bigger than her heroic charge which could be canceled by flashing or using a movement spell like ezreals blink. Even so Your reliant on ulting so a Warwick could point click ult you or Heimerdingers W ult can kill you. Also for enemy adc they have a support with heals and shields. The only poppy's ganking bot lane are jungle poppy's and they had a very abysmal clear time. Of 3:28 by their 3rd camp or so. Well most junglers at the time finished their 3rd camp by 2:36.

AP poppy never fell off late game really, then again in the past there weren't a ton of AD + MR items for ADC's.

AD poppy also didn't even need to get ahead to win, during the age of old poppy supports and tanks didn't have 6 shields to give to a ADC.

while poppy has never been strong early game making the game last till late game was often done back when old poppy still existed, as is evident with the old protect the kog`maw comps where you get trashed on until late game and then win

Nowadays old poppy ult could work. Bc league of shields and items
