What is the downside to Jinx support?

Long range poke with fishbones

Attack speed with pow-pow for pushing towers down

A long-range slow with zap

zone control, a snare, a vision to check bushes with flame chompers

A global execute ult, along with a speed boost on assists to chase down and CC runners, or help peel for an ally who is on the edges of a fight

Literally the ONLY thing holding her back is a lack of AD support items. She's borderline an AD Lux.

Let's see, all her CC is incredibly telegraphed AND delayed, she's massively squishy, and outside of her EW she brings nothing useful as a support. She's incredibly squishy and item reliant for damage, and her CC's are unreliable and her hard CC is on a long cooldown. She brings nothing to a team as support that another actual support doesn't do better.

There is no downside if you win.

So I love jinx a lot but as the game goes on if you didn't get kills you would be so useless. Adc's are just to farm reliant to do this.

Her cc isn't reliable enough and she doesn't have much when compared to supports like Thresh and Leona. In basically any situation, any other support would be a better option. She doesn't have really any reason to be picked for support as opposed to other supports.
