This... makes a lot of sense. Bet Rito finally looked at that skin pack, said "who tf is this guy with the guitar" and after looking him up, and finding out he's melee, they were like "FUCK THERE'S NO ADC" so they decided to make Morde ADC and dump it on an already-hated dev so the rest of Riot wouldn't be raged at.

sona/morde isn't really the best comp, but that's mostly just because sona up. stupid stupid sustain though
This was exactly what I thought when I first saw the patch notes on PBE.
I hear a lot of people saying "it sucks", but from my experience Morg/Morde is pretty strong, if Morg lands a snare you can be sure Morde will be right there to dish out the pain. Morde/Raka is ridiculous too, they have ridiculous sustain together.
It all makes sense now!
Morty is not an ADC replacement! He's still your AP brooser-dood, he just would benefit GREATLY from having the support moved up to him in mid-lane.
