Make sure you are actually prepared to play support. I'm tired of seeing people in dynamic cue complaining about getting support trying to trade and then playing something dumb like 
or 
support and build full AP. If you don't want to support well there's 4 other roles to chose from. Pick two of them.
KyroRayne3 votesI pick support as my second role because I enjoy playing support a lot. However, I DON'T WANT TO GET TAGGED WITH SUPPORT FOR 14/15 GAMES WITHOUT GETTING MY PRIMARY ROLE MORE THAN ONCE! The one time that I do get my primary role, someone normally dodges.
That's my complaint about it.
Edit: Lux and Brand support are actually pretty OP if played correctly. I hated seeing Brand support in Plat because they were so oppressive in lane.
Xenomancers3 votesExcept for teemo those are actually 2 of the top supports right now. You got to stop thinking of the support role like it's some dummy role that isn't allowed to do damage. The support roll is to help your team win - it exist for no other reason. A support does not need to be tanky to do this job - a support does not need have heals or sheilds ether. All they need to do is help your adc farm lane safely and provide something relevant to your comp and build site stone as a first or second item. That is all. I carry harder from support on a mage than I do mid. Why? It's a lot easier to land full combos with another champ in my lane distracting my opponents. I've won way more games on teemo support than I've lost too. If you are willing to hustle teemo support is actually very strong and almost impossible to win lane against without ganks.

Xenomancers1 votesIMO - if someone doesn't want to support they should probably not pick it as a secondary - it's the least desired roll you are going to get it almost every time you include it in your two choices - that includes fill.

Kitty Clarissa1 voteswell i put bot lane primary and support secondary, support i the least desired role in lower ELos and i know i put fill cuz i know im getting support and i can be lazy lol.. regardless of that i used to be a suppport main so its not my issue at all.
