Sion's weapon with his new kit should have been a hammer

Let's be honest, Riot said that his kit didn't really feel like he was utilizing his weapon properly so they changed his kit to what it is currently

However, only 1 of his abilities now utilize his weapon and its his Q

With it, it can be used in 2 different ways 1 - Short cast in which he kinda of just swings it 2 - Long cast in which he swings it STRAIGHT DOWN, to STUN people for a long time.

I'm sorry but if you swing an axe like that, you would likely completely eviscerate someone in a very narrow line. Meaning you would likely see it doing large amounts % Health. Instead we have a large aoe stun, which is more representative of a very large headed hammer/mallet coming down on someone

To be honest he's a large, hulking, undead giant primarily and his gameplay really embodies that. His axe is really secondary or tertiary to that theme.

The axe is the only thing visually they actually managed to salvage from the old Sion. He deserves that axe.

I wish they made his gameplay slightly more resembling of the effects an axe would cause

He was an axe user so they remade him while keeping his axe.

And it isn't stun on full charge Q, but a knockup.

If you want hammer Sion, there is Hextech Sion but too bad you can no longer buy it though (unless like end of year sale or something).

I actually already own Hextech Sion, and this is why I made the thread. The ability seems fight with the Hammer but almost nonsensical with an Axe

I understand as well that because of some of the other skins it would have been more difficult for them re-tool it into a Hammer than Axe (Lumberjack Sion using a hammer makes no sense)

Tho the overall point is that the did not do a good job into giving Sion the feel that the thing he is swinging is an Axe

Tell you what. Get a sledgehammer and have a friend downward swing it into your head and tell me that it's not deadly, only "stunning". Now keep in mind Sion is way larger than your friend, and his hammer is too. The only way a man that big could hit, say... Annie or Janna or what-have-you full force with something and not kill them would be if he was weilding a pool noodle or a plastic toy or something. Sharp doesn't = more deadly... it just helps.

I'm sure the axe was used for two reasons.

A) Because Old Sion had it, and they wanted to keep it from his lore as an undead solider of Noxus.

B) I personally think a giant battleaxe is scarier than a hammer. Both would be deadly in the hands of a juggernaut like Sion, but the axe has that 'guillotine' aura to it, which is shown especially in his Q.

Short cast he swing the axe sideway, damaging and possibly hamstring-ing people Long cast he smash the axe to the ground, not on people, but the ground, and the resulting impact knocks them up
