5 ideas for making the game less snowbally

EDIT: welp, that's a record: downvoted in the first 5 seconds... do you people even read threads anymore? -.-"

5 changes that, together, would imho make games feel less snowbally:

  • reduce gold bounty for successive kills vs the same champ (so that your 0/15 first time Lux mid doesn't mean that the enemy 15/0 mid can now 1v5 pentakill your team while soloing Baron - but a 15/0 mid that got 3 kills from each of you still can 1v5 pentakill your team while soloing Baron)

  • increase shutdown gold (so that if the team coordinates and manages to kill that 15/0 mid, your team gets a fair chance for a comeback)

  • gold bounty reduction gets reset not only on kills/assists but also on CSing enough (to prevent proxy Singed from coming back as it first was)

  • CSing increases your shutdown bounty (to prevent a wave clear meta: you could get Ziggs and just farm, but doing so means that the LeeSin diving you gains shutdown gold from your death)

  • towers generate an aura that grants bonus mr/armor to allied champions in range (scaling with the distance from the Nexus, so that staying behind your tower is safer than standing in front of it; dives can still happen, but at least you are actually safer than in the middle of the river)

This way winning lane still means you have a good shot at winning the game, but now you have to spread that advantage by making plays all around the map (and the enemy gets rewarded for successfully stopping you).

I don't think that increasing the shutdown is the solution. Changing the shutdown to one person instead of everyone getting gold could help (some lanes could only win based on that global gold). Towers should feel tankier and have better AI shots (they switch targets faster). One idea that I think you had that is good is the tower gives armor/mr to nearby allied champions. However, this could mess up some dives only because of it and it also increases their power late game which I think riot wants to avoid.

I've seen this idea around... The "Tower gives MR/Armor bonus" and it doesn't seem like people who suggest it thought it through... The reason why i am personally against it is because MR and Armor bonuses from just sitting next to/behind the tower tend to be "invisible power"... or in this case "invisible durability", meaning it can make you actually tankier without communicating that properly to the opponents, which tends to be bad for clarity of gameplay...

This is why it was fine when inner towers gave shields to people standing near them, it was clear and visible to everyone exactly how much more damage you can take...
