Why does lux Q hit two people perpendicular to the projectile?

that makes no sense? I was right next to my team mate that got snared. and I wasn't too close. there was a space for an another champion in between, and I got snared too. isn't it supposed to be the one behind it?

sounds like a bug..... do you have proof?

Only explanation would be a large champion hit box that sort of overlapped, otherwise it's a bug if you aren't over exaggerating the distance for approval reasons.
