Baffled they just chose this approach instead of buffing the cost-efficiency of zeal items.

When the defining trait of a good marksman is that they don't need to build crit, and the only items with crit on them are zeal items, you'd think the problem would be game-set-match obvious.

But nope. 5 AD on stormrazor and better kite on the proc, 100g buff to IE that doesn't address the fundamental issues with the item, and an indirect Lucian nerf. I'm used to riot taking an indirect approach by now, but this is just silly.

The AD on stormrazor technically makes it play better with zeal items, I guess...? But there's still an awkward trough when you buy zeal items because they're so expensive.

Zeal items were already super cost efficient to begin with. Hence the increase in pricing. Dropping their price, or making them cost efficient at their current price directly contradicts the fixes to their previous problems.

I wish they'd at least lowered the crit chance on zeal items to 25%(with an appropriate cost lowering) so that crit builds were less janky overall. :/ fixing it so that you're not losing basically 1200 gold on two zeal items would go a long way toward making crit builds feel less shitty. Like just really riot? Is it really that hard to make it a clean 25% with an appropriate price cut for the loss of stats

That nerf needs to stay. I'm an ad main and even I knew those were too overpowered because of their cost. Also the stack of RFC and Shiv would frontload damage too much. They already lowered IE by 100. Just adjust.
