Riot Let's Talk a lil bit about Veigar

Since the mage update is coming up i thought we shoulld talk about Veigar's state. Veigar rose in popularity and ban rates and saw some lcs play at the end of season 5 and during worlds, but then received some nerfs and is now once again mediocre/back in his hole. Whenever i play as or against a veigar it feels like there is some lack of interaction, it's either he farms to the point he becomes a monster and one shots you or try your best to not let him farm and he can't do absolutely anythign but throw stuns to aid in fights later on. People also call him the Nasus of the mid lane. The thing is Nasus is not problematic because he has plenty of interaction in hsi lane. Yes he tries to farm but his opponent can bully him or deny or even kill him. Veigar is not like that. I know the way to beat veigar is to force him to trade with you so he uses his spells on you rater than farm. and waste all of his mana etc.

You nerfed viktor becuase he lacked interaction in lane. Yet i playy veigar just like that. I sit back and throw Q to farm and when wave gets shoved i use w to clear. No interaction with my lane opponent whatseoever.

What I think needs to be done: Veigar received a small rework at the start of season 5 that made him iinto what he is today. The rework did some right things like making his stun not instant ( this used to lack a lot of counterplay) and lowering his ult ratio a bit . However they changed his q from a single target short range ability to a long range skillshot that can hit 2 things. THis change is what hurt his lane the most. I recomend you revert his q into a single target targeted abilty like it was BUT, make it so that if q kills a canon minion ( canon minions only) he recieves 10 AP. This makes veigar not so passive in lane while still retaining his late game scaling . This also adds interactivity with his opposing laner: veigar's canon minion is low he is about to q it, what better time to go in for a trade ? he either uses q to get the minion and loses trade , or uses it for trade and misses out on a lot of stats.

I feel like this change would be good and would make veigar more viable and more reliable and consistent in general . What do you think? I hope you give him a bit of a touch up riot in the mage rework like you did with twitch and varus. Thank you.
