is Riot blind and can't see Fizz's E?
Cooldown: 16 / 14 / 12 / 10 / 8 seconds Magic Damage: 70 / 120 / 170 / 220 / 270 (+75% Ability Power)
for real?

Literally the only thing that could be called a problem with Fizz's E is the base cooldown at lower ranks. Even then, really, it's his only defensive mechanism as a melee-centered champion.
defense mechanism that deals 270 +0.75 AP, find me a spell that have this damage and the base cooldown with 40% cdr is 4.2 seconds for 1 seconds zhonya +zhonya =3.5 seconds
much counterplay
Just as soon as you find me a melee champion slower and squishier than Fizz.
Well I feel like any skill that's better than flash is a bit over the line, but maybe that's just me.
You can't really compare abilities to summoners. You could argue that Zed W is better than flash as it lets you duplicate abilities, or Janna shield being better than Barrier because you can cast it on other champions and towers and it gives bonus AD.

I don't see why not. It's obviously the best summoner spell and nearly everyone runs it because of this. If there are champ abilities that mimic or surpass it with much lower cooldowns, it seems very comparable to me because quick mobility is one of the most powerful things in the game.
Summoner spells are meant to give you that extra pow right when you need it. For example, champions that take Ignite will only save it for when they're going in for a kill (or in teamfights against targets with heavy sustain). Most of these champions will have an ability that does roughly the same amount of damage as ignite. Just for this example, I'll use Malzahar E. The cooldown isn't super high, so you are free to use it to farm and harass your lane opponent. But you don't ignite people to harass them, because the whole purpose of ignite is for an all-in.
Flash is the same thing. LeBlanc is notorious for her mobility, and she has two dashes and two blinks built in to her kit. Sometimes, that might not be enough though, (especially if she uses R for a different ability). In that case, one well-used flash can secure a kill, or help her get away from her opponents.

I agree, I just felt that it's not completely immune to comparison because the idea being that over almost any other option, people will choose mobility(flash) to get the biggest advantage in a situation.
Also extra AS and Magic Damage on hit when she grabs an Ardent Censer ;)
