One thing I like about Worlds season.

The instant pros take a champion into an uncommon lane, those picks become 100% viable in the eyes of the community.

EVERY TIME I try something that is not common in Normals, I get questioned in champion select like bending meta picks isn't allowed for some reason.

Yeah, there are absolutely times where these picks don't pay off, but there are others where they absolutely do.

Just for an example, Taric Jungle is 100% legit... but nobody is going to try it until the pros play it. ... nobody but me (and maybe a few others).

I mean like. you COULD do taric jungle, Just as you COULD play Sivir Jungle. But why do that when you can play Alistar Jungle.

That's the spirit. [slayer-jinx-wink]

Ironically, I was thinking about Alistar Jungle just the other day, but I haven't tried it yet.

I just know that when I do I will inevitably get "Alistar Jungle?" in champion select.

But if a pro took it in Worlds, .. you would see it all over live servers within a week.

Remember MF support?

honestly though. riot nerfed trample against Monsters as a direct nerf to try and make sure he couldnt jungle. so yea..... theres that.

Aw man, really? It doesn't say that on his LoLWiki page. I know that doesn't mean it isn't true, but that would really suck if it is.

i remember they did when they reworked him. Ill look through the wiki myself to see if I can find it.

EDIT: Nvm. it was before the rework. when they reworked him it they moved it off the passive so i guess its not nerfed anymore. REMOVED: Double damage to monsters.

Never thought about it...but yeah I could totally see taric jungle work with his spammable passive.

A few secrets on pro picks in relation to solo queue:

Most champions pros don’t play are either borderline top tier or sleeper op for solo queue.

Some champions pros do play aren’t actually worth the pick, but they have so much practice on them they prefer a suboptimal pick over a less practiced champion.
