The only counterplay to rengar/zed as a squishy is pretty much this

If the player playing them is garbage, then you will die cause balanced. If the player playing them is god they will kill your entire team. cause balanced.

Both champions have clear counterplay

Assassin's are so shit this cause the amount of defence, healing from supports and cc there is. As a mage U pretty much one shot them as long as you hit ur cc, most ADCs have a defensive ability such as Kaisa having invis and shield ult that is also mobility

Counter them with stopwatch as your team will kill them if they stay to finish you or are forced to back out so pretty much get stopwatch and force teamfights to make it 4v5

If you beat Zed early you win if you go even with zed you win if zed doesn't snowball you win.

All three of those are controllable

You know how he is going to want to poke you in lane(cheesing his shadow/shuriken combo). if he misses it you can punish him pretty hard

You know where he wants to roam(9 out of 10 times its going to be bot lane because of the value of the roam) so ward up bot side and follow.

Zed isnt that big of a deal, he is onle of the most predictable mid laners in terms of play patterns and he has to snowball to be useful.

here a tip against zed. 90 percent of them only ever throw their q's straight. the heart beat on his ult isnt just for show its for you to time your dash, blink, shield, exhaust or flash. the more you play against zed the easier he is to beat in lane. If you beat him in lane he is deadset so easy to beat late game.

I don't think that is true. I think the laner can easily duel either champion if they understand the other's toolkit. (Zed is entirely dependent upon landing his q in order for his damage to really shine - merely dodge it. To be honest, I have never really had an trouble with Rengar - dont get rooted, I guess?)

I will admit, however, that Assassins are little prone to becoming overly oppressive if they are sufficiently fed. I think their (intended) balance is supposed to make their kills high-risk. That being said, a lot of assassins are not really subject to the "high risk" end of their champion concept. Zed, in particular, is pretty slippery, therefore negating some of the risk involved in his plays. On the other hand, his slipperiness is his only defense - if you play around it, he is a sitting duck.

You're acting like there's nothing you can do to outplay these champions

A terrible zed player will wiff all his abilities and not kill anyone, a terrible rengar player will ult when the enemy team are grouped and not be able to assassinate anything

A good Soraka will Silence Zed. A good Alistar will knockup Rengar out of his R jump, Lulu can ult you for the same outcome, where is your support? aside from that you can buy stopwatch/zhonya/phantom dancer/death's dance/guardian angel or Flash Zed's triple Q/Don't overextend as a squishy champion vs Rengar
