Maybe Poppy can work something against Rengar, however control ward is useless against Rengar.

Because Rengar's leap range is the same as the ward's vision range.

Even if you use it in some way and manage to get a glimpse of Rengar, it doesn't matter anyway since you already know he's coming given the ulti notice and that someone's going to instantly die either way. It's not like the ward deflects Rengar off you when he leaps, or that a glimpse is enough to react and CC him. Ward or not is completely irrelevant in practice.

Unless ofc, the Rengar is a total idiot and running circles around a control ward waiting to be hard CC'ed. But that doesn't mean it's a counterplay.

Not that it really matters when he gets 60 seconds of +200% move speed and has an instant leap that out ranges Nidalee's Q and shreds 100 armor off his target. Quickly followed by him immediately launching off two additional auto attacks within a 0.25 second time frame. :>
