Idea to improve ranked.

That you must be at least Mastery Lv.3 with a champ to use them in ranked, to stop these guys from doing "First time J4/Nocturne/Jayce/Bard/etc."

Anyone else back this up?

No. You would need 20 champs on mastery 3.

Thats 200+ normal games. If someone can only play 1 game a day or like 3-4 games a week, it would mean he would need months to start ranked. And what about one trick ponies? They would have to play hundreds of normals so they can play their main in ranked. Simply no. Also there is nothing wrong with first timing champion in ranked, thats best way to improve.

Best way to improve is normal draft, otherwise you're throwing your team's odds of winning

Thats not best way to improve, according to professional coaches. From the words of LS (famous coach) , start in ranked, spam ranked, first u gonna lose a lot, then u gonna start winning a lot. Best way to improve is to play on hardest mode.

They arent lunatics. Thats how it is. And i can tell u from personal experience. When i started playing Ekko i started directly in ranked. I lost 9/12 of my first games, then i had 8 wins streak and later never dropped under 60% winrate with it.

Coaches usually aim their words towards people in the LCS or really really high elo, so I doubt it applies to the first time Riven/Nidalee/Draven etc low elo players, I've seen Faker try new champs all the time in Ranked, but he's faker, and an LCS Challenger player, not even one bit similar to the majority of ranked players.

I personally would like it, but so many others wouldn't riot would get backlash. Theres also the argument of people with smurfs. It will make it harder for them to smurf becaus they would have to spend actual time not just their money on the account before taking it into ranked. Less smurfs is a good thing though.
