ALERT : A new kind of bot released in Coop vs AI

Some of us may have already encountered the typical bot player

He will run down mid and feed, occasionally feeding a little on others lanes or disconnects if the game last for too long

But the new bot is different, he’s a :

Jungler Bot

He will do 0 kills , 0 assists and therefore have a 0% kill participation He wont gank , push towers or help to get objectives The team will be forced to 4v5 with a player that refuse to help in any sort of way

They are doing exactly all that is required to be banned

The key element to detect bots is not the absence of masteries or the use of free icons

It’s the ** kill participation**

We are in 2017, cool games are created in 48 hours How could we possibly have an entire game-mode still plagued by bots Now it’s more of a problem of “Does Riot care about new players”

Solutions to automatically detect bots have always existed They are mathematicals and independents of how these bots are coded

Disclaimer : This post was placed in gameplay to get higher visibility and also because it’s affecting gameplay, for three serious reasons

  • can’t take support champions ( impossible to carry 1v5 as with support items )
  • can’t take jungler champions (when a bot jungle, duo-jungling would force other lanes to 1v2 )
  • can’t take mid champions ( bots feeding mid forces 1v2 scenarios in others lanes )

Yeah found that Poppy jungle who dealt 0 damage to champs in one of my games too, since I'm leveling a new account.

At least it was bot games, I would tilt hard if that shit happened in another game mode.

All the bots accounts i were monitoring (that become owned by real players) ended up as Yi / Yasuo Silvers ._.

I just reported it for intentional feeding/afk/third part programs.

A rioter said once that dealing 0 damage to champions is a reportable offense, so I hope they'll get that shit banned for a reason or another.

I once seen a bot playing as good as beginner bot. Annie with dodge script, last hitting with Q. Dancing around like human does but with repeadly pattern and backing automatically at low hp.

Yes if the bots weren't as bad as they are now , it would be fine :/

But at the moment they are ruining the fun of other people

(I serioulsy enjoy Coop vs AI because they are less toxic, it's possible to try new things)

I will never forget the day I first started playing League again, with a computer that could run it. Get into game, PvP, and I get a Bot that all it does is follow you around. Does nothing else. Just follows. Was a good day.

I've reported numerous bot players, including jungle, including a double jungle that hilariously followed each other everywhere in the jungle leaving a 3v5. I've yet to get any feedback any of them have been removed though. Did they stop giving action taken for your reports?

When i look at their profile (like op.gg) i can clearly see if they are banned or not

But none of this is told to us, that feels very un-rewarding :/

Coop vs AI is legit my favourite gamemode, i love to try new things and help beginners ... but these bots are ruining everything :(

The worst part is that these accounts will be sold for money (and sold mostly to yi/yasuo silver mains xp)

Explanation : Since these accounts were not banned, i was watching their evolution

Bots count in player number. That's why there's nothing such a simply bot-checking ("click on this and that") at the beginning of AI games, or during respawn time.

I don't believe Riot actively cares.

Most of these bot accounts probably buy XP boosts to remove some of the lengthy leveling process. Tack an IP boost on their, and you can have a play ready account ready for consumers in a few weeks.

Imo Riot doesn't really care because these new accounts are buying them record numbers of XP boosts, and in turn they are making money off of this scenario.

I'm not saying this is ethical, I'm just merely pointing out that Riot really doesn't care.

They're probably the last personns that actively buy "XP boosts " Plus these bots are putting higher the bar of "Monthly Active Players per month" :v

Agreed, these players add to their revenue and their in-game (positive)statistics so they can look bigger on paper.

The shameful part is Riot says nothing about Bots and they rarely perform ban waves(lol, as if they've ever even done that) on bot accounts, like more popular games.

The sad fact is, Riot is getting positives from these bot players, and these positives highly outweigh the negative. You'll never see Riot say anything related to this matter because its good for their business unfortunately to keep them around.

The shitty part is, players like us have to suffer for their extra grab at a bit of coin from an already over-profitable game. Very shameful on them.

IMO, I much prefer the jungler bots if they don't rush down lane, feeding and stealing cs like an extra cannon minion. If they stay out of the way, they should be a low priority ban. Rito should be dealing with feeding bots first.

I can't speak for everyone but once I hit Level 30 I either played PvP or CUSTOM GAMES with Bots (Easy Bots on my team vs. Intermediate on Enemy Team). If I can beat 5 Intermediate Bots with ACTUAL BOTS on my team that have the bare minimum coding to not AFK in base while simultaneously doing nothing of value, I'm sure a couple of players + bots can do the same.

I also did this , and it was a fun challenge :p

But these bots are different, they are not controlled by Riot They are controlled by "scripts" from players

They do not react to your actions, they will not defend you , they will not actively take objectives. And the worst ...

They will feed the enemy midlaner in early And feed massively during lategame teamfights

  • you do not have a level advantage because the midlaner will always be fed
  • you do not have a push advantage because the others lanes lack players (often end up 1v2 or 0v2 in the worst scenarios)

Easy Riot AI > Player Botting

I'm actually glad someone comes to understand how I felt through the experience. I once had a feeding Taliyah bot champion and I was so devastated that I had to pick Taliyah immediately because of those bots instalocking her and ruining my experience. Never have I felt so bad to see a Taliyah bot play so bad and feed midlane constantly and I feel very very bad for her and I got super angry, and I could have played some other champion if I choose to.

Never will I see a feeding Taliyah bot ever again in my games, not even in bots. I'm actually glad someone had cared and brought up this, and I'm glad that I reported those stinking bots for their very low kda participation and effort they put into the game. Makes me feel horrible to see those bots do something like this and Riot should do something about this.

well Riot's AI is great and can do some cool stuff

Tower dived by a Ryze bot with a perfect combo flash+E+Q+ingnite, i died just after xp

But Player's Bots are horribly bad, they can't compare, two differents things

Their macro play is horrible (they stay to fight when an obvious gank is incoming) but their micro skills on the other hand... do you remember Annie Bot (not the player)? Perfectly executed 1 shots with 0 delay, and actually ended the game with a positive score consistently. Ryze bot (old spellvamping Ryze) was the other culprit. I think Riot even made a tshirt about it.

Once you outgear them its easy, but playing from behind isn't.

Yeah I just play Coop vs AI to learn a new champ before going Pvp. this %%%%shit is just ruining the experience for others.

But they aren't ruining my ranked? In all the games I've ever played I've only met one bot in a PvP game. Only thing ruining my ranked games are unranked players in my games

Again. It's BOTS. If it affected PvP games then yes. Even if you have one bot you should be able to win. I've played bots recently and it isn't you and 4 bots.

Have not made a new account recently, so I am not sure as to the answer on this- is there still a PvP level requirement?

For me, I wanted to jump straight into PvP after the tutorial. I did an intermediate bots match (LoL was my first MOBA too) and did well. I personally think bots are too easy and for me as a player I find it difficult to derive enjoyment from those matches.

However, I do not think bots are alright. It does allow for accounts to be sold and frequent 'smurfs' to be played in various divisions and elos. I think smurfs are a bigger problem than bots, and getting rid of bots would go a long ways to assisting in the anti-smurf movement. XD

as some one who only ever plays against bots when I'm trying a brand new champion for the first time. I still don't want a bot on my team. sure, I can carry a 4v5 in a bot game, it doesn't mean its fun . ruins the other players game as well. sure while its 3 people not having fun (I don't count myself) its still 3 to many. bot accounts need a ban across the board. not just pvp

yeah and? its a good thing to try out a new champion where its easy to get the feel for it instead of diving into a game where you can ruin peoples games for not understanding your champs mechanics

you must be one of those try a new champ in ranked type people who like to go 0/20/1

edit: seeing how you replied only to delete. to only play one champion in ranked is bad. having 5 or so you are really good at is best to be able to adapt to enemies picks. playing new champions only in normal isn't as bad a idea, but every one should play a bot game or two first just to get the basics down because even in normal you need to be giving it your all. and you cant if you don't know how your champ is played
