Is mmr and matchmaking going to go back to somewhat Normal during preseason?

It's beginning to get to the point I don't want to bother playing ranked anymore this season. The more I climb the worse the matchmaking is, and I'm only friggin gold! I'm not sitting in Diamond with a smaller pool of players so there is no excuse for such terrible matchmaking as I'm getting.

Just had one of those amazing matchmade games where the entire enemy team was silver. 3 people on my team were gold 4, our mid was bronze 2, and our jungler was bronze question mark cause he was still in placements with terrible mmr so far and had no idea what he was doing as he never played ranked before.

This matchmaking is god awful and it is so frustrating because there is no amount of good play that helps unless you are a smurf because "even" games are instant lost with matchmaking like this. The jungler went 1/12/2 cause the poor guy shouldn't be in ranked, and probably will end up in Iron (not flaming just reality). But our team lost even before champ select cause matchmaking is just a dumpster fire in every elo this season.

Idk, one of my alt accounts is bronze 2 but constantly plays with Gold.

I doubt it, positional MM makes Title frustratingly more inaccurate as a gauge of skill.

The new Ranks just shifted player perception despite the fact the population curve will be the same, and it looks like riot wanted more players to get gold season rewards so the ladder might have shifted.

Easier to just show MMR and tell the community, hey if your weak at every role besides 1 your a weaker player then any one else at your skill who can do 2. Get better, dodge, or apologies to your team that your going to be dead weight because you cant play the game well enough.

Would not be very popular and they would lose players thou. Watch the hate I stand to gain here for saying something that 1 role and 1 champ players will take as an attack.
