Riot is Sterak's intended to be a marksmen item?

Or is it intended to be a fighter item?

If it is intended to be a fighter item why does the shield scale with total health instead of the bonus health?

I don't think they mind it being an occasional pick-up on marksman, but if it's being built consistently then they'll change it.

Because the base scales with levels, meaning that normally an adc is almost dead by the time the shield procs, while a tank will still have a good amount of health. The problem here s that there are no alternatives to it.

No alternatives that give resistance to bust? item 3102

Or do you expect to be getting damage and resistance to bust?

we're not in s2 anymore, or was it s1?. Now people want both damage, tankyness AND mobility in one package since rito started realeasing things like Tahm, Illaoi, sterak, and things like them. Also sterak is far more efficient than banshee, banshee wil save you from 1 spell, sterak can potentially safe you from a full rotation and give you damage to fight back.

That lack of trade offs seems to be jsut one of many reason people are not enjoying the game anymore.

Trust me, I hate this balance state. I'm on with you about adc having to build banshee if they want some survivability. Like with tanks havuing to build actual damage to do damage (looking at you tahm), but want to feel strong while also not wanting compromises... Only reason I still play is that the champs I enjoy are always viable (thresh, nautilus, alistar, nocturne...) and are fun no matter what.

I am fine with things like how Mercurial Scimitar was when it was first added. IT was alright and you didn't feel as guilty building QSS because of it but it was a trade off in total damage since it was 60 AD, 45 MR and the slightly better version of the QSS active. It had a clear reason to be bought some games but it was not something to be getting every game without question since there was a trade off. Now it is not any real kind of trade off in getting it over Bloodthrister especially with blood lust giving a good amount of life steal.

I loved old mercurial, it was such a balanced item. But since LoL is getting always more casual players (no hate here anyone has the right to have fun) and since the game is shifting from skill based match ups to: the most flashy and new champ gets to be op and win by default, the balance is beying thrown out of the window: tank are weaker than towers which feels like paper, while it's viable to play 5 adc and still win because "skillz". Why is that? because people want flashy thing that please theyr eyes, strong items which make them feel strong and op champs to make them feel good. And they don't want to pay anything for that, they want it all in one package, while also wantig to be fed wins on diamond plates. I don't like all of this, a win must be earned by working hard, not by having the most op champ of the moment, I want to have fun while trying my best, not play a soulless game where either I get frustrated for a random loss or from an empty stomping.

item 3026 used to be a thing.

And still is: right now though you only buy it for the passive then sell it for sterak when it's on cd, or if you already have sterak you sell it for something else. GA is not really a bad item but now if you die during a fight, since fights last almost nothing, by the time you're up again you will probably be in a 1 vs 3, already cc'ed to death the second you spawn again, unless for some reason you died like an idiot but still had a huge advantage so your team can survive some seconds in a 4 vs 5. Also sterak gives both hp, more survivability and damage, so it's just better on all fronts. I'm with you on the GA existing, but it's just not worth to have if you'e not a tank initiator, and even if you are there are better items.

It is intended to be a bruiser item. A champion who has enough healthy to safely absorb enough damage to proc the steracs and use it without dying.

Well most bruiser build some level of health besides just thins item so why wouldn't making this bonus health fix the issue of Graves, Kog and other marksmen getting it?

Have no idea what you just said. Pce

Because this gets rid of the intended "squishy" weakness most ADC champions have, similar to how Riot nerfed Tank Yi because of it.

Items aren't allowed to be utilized by multiple classes?

WarlockLaw1 votes

Some items yes, but others no. Right now Sterak's gives to much survivability AND damage to the adc class. Meanwhile it does not seem to be that strong on fighters. Directly nerfing the item would end up hurting fighters too much when they aren't in a very good spot as it is right now. Therefore providing a way for fighters to better, or equally, utilize it while also nerfing it for adcs should be done to help bring back other classes to the game.

I feel this is also true of Maw, and that item too should be readjusted towards casters/fighters.

It's an anti-burst item, and it turns out that adcs tend to like stuff like that. The original vision for the item was for champs like Garen who dive into entire teams and get focused, but it's turned out to be pretty good at surviving assassins 1v1 as well.
